You pay by the hour for the hardened Debian 13 image running on ARM-based (Graviton) EC2 instances. Pricing is not tiered by features. Instead, each rate matches a specific EC2 instance type. The many options span instance families for general purpose, compute, memory, storage, and network needs. Within each family, sizes scale from nano and medium up to large metal instances. Larger instances carry more vCPUs and memory, so their hourly rates rise accordingly. You select the instance type that fits your workload and pay only for the hours you run it.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
You pay a software rate for each hour a chosen instance runs. The rate is tied to the specific instance type you launch. Each running instance meters its own hours. The charge covers the hardened Debian 13 image license on that ARM-based instance, separate from the underlying AWS infrastructure fee.
The hourly software charge applies only while an instance runs. Stopped or paused instances stop accruing this software fee. You may still owe AWS for attached storage, but the image license meters running hours only. Restarting the instance resumes hourly charges.
Each instance type carries a different hourly rate based on its size and family. General purpose, compute, memory, storage, and network families serve different needs. Sizes scale from nano up to metal. Larger instances hold more vCPUs and memory, so rates rise. Match the type to your workload demand.

Connecting to the Virtual Machine
To connect to your instance, use SSH over port 22. The default username for this image is admin.
