You pay by the hour for the software running on your chosen Amazon EC2 instance. There is no upfront commitment. Pricing scales with the instance you select, not with separate software tiers. Each dimension maps to one EC2 instance type, covering general purpose, compute, memory, storage, GPU, and high-performance families. Larger instances with more vCPUs, memory, or accelerators bill at higher hourly rates. Smaller instances bill at lower hourly rates. You pick the instance that fits your workload, and your total cost depends on the instance size and how many hours you run it.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
You get the BillionMail software running on that specific Amazon EC2 instance type, plus support from ThinkCloud. The rate covers the software licence metered per hour. Each dimension maps to one instance type with a set amount of vCPUs, memory, and any accelerators. AWS charges the underlying infrastructure separately.
Software charges apply per hour while the instance runs. A stopped or paused instance does not accrue the hourly software charge. You may still owe underlying AWS fees, such as storage for attached volumes, since those are billed by AWS separately from the software licence.
You pay only for the hours the software runs, with no upfront commitment. Your bill equals the hourly rate for your selected instance multiplied by the hours it runs. Switching to a different instance type changes the hourly rate. This suits variable workloads, since idle time between runs is not charged.
