Pricing
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.

Dimensions summary
This listing uses a contract model built around two dimensions. You commit to a set quantity of DigiCert Document Signing Certificates, billed per unit under your contract. If your usage goes past that committed amount, the Overage dimension charges you per additional unit at a separate rate. The base units cover your planned certificate needs, while the overage acts as a flexible top-up so you are not blocked when you exceed the contract. Both dimensions are priced by unit, so your total scales with how many certificates you activate.

One unit is a single document signing certificate tied to an individual or an organization. Each certificate lets that signer apply trusted digital signatures and electronic seals to documents. You count units by the number of certificates you activate, not by the number of documents signed.
The Overage dimension handles this. When you go past your committed certificate quantity, each extra certificate is billed per unit at the separate overage rate. This charge applies automatically to the additional units only, so your committed units keep their contract rate. You are not blocked from adding certificates.
A unit can be issued to an individual or to an organization. DigiCert validates the signer's identity before issuing each certificate. Organization certificates verify both the requester and the business. The validation type does not change how units are counted; each issued certificate is still one billable unit.
