e6data is a hyper-performant, built-from-scratch SQL analytics engine for today's complex, high-concurrency workloads.
Rather than building hundreds of incremental improvements over the best existing technology, we took a clean slate approach to address the most deep-rooted problems in distributed query processing. The result is 5 - 20X faster speeds (or 60% lower costs) compared to industry-leading managed and open architecture platforms.
Our core guiding beliefs that have influenced design choices at e6data:
Embrace Open Architectures and Open file formats (no vendor lock-in).
Deploy fully WITHIN customer data boundaries (no data movement).
Performance on ANY infrastructure (any cloud provider/any deployment scenario).
No data migration/replication (i.e. open architectures and no vendor lock-in).
Seamless migration - no changes to existing data pipelines, SQL queries, BI tools/notebooks, governance frameworks, etc.

AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This contract listing uses two pricing dimensions. The e6data Usage Unit measures your consumption of the query engine. You pay based on how much you use, so charges scale with your workload. The Standard Tier is an optional contractual fee for additional services. You add it only if you want those extra services. Together, the two dimensions let you cover base usage and layer on optional support under one contract.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the e6data Usage Unit measure for billing?
The Usage Unit tracks your consumption of the query engine's compute. Billing is tied to vCPU consumption as the engine scales executors in 1-vCPU increments. You pay for compute used, with no storage charges and no data egress fees for reading your existing lakehouse data.
How does my cost change as query load rises or falls?
The engine auto-scales executors in 1-vCPU steps between the minimum and maximum limits you set. As load increases, more vCPUs run and Usage Unit consumption rises. When load drops, executors scale down and consumption falls. You can also set per-cluster thresholds to cancel wasteful queries before they consume extra compute.
How do the two dimensions combine on one invoice?
The e6data Usage Unit drives your core charge based on compute consumption. The Standard Tier is a separate, optional fee for additional services. The two bill independently and appear together under one contract. For most buyers, Usage Unit consumption drives the larger share of the bill.
