CloudZero enables engineers to build cost-effective software. The world's leading cloud-driven companies rely on CloudZero for accurate, granular visibility into total cloud spend.
    4.6

    Overview

CloudZero is a powerful cloud cost intelligence platform - built to provide visibility, insights, and savings to help drive profitable innovation.

By aligning engineering and finance teams around metrics like cost per product feature, customer, and development team, CloudZero enables teams to manage spend, drive a culture of cost-efficient engineering, and improve cloud unit economics.

Even without perfect tagging, customers can use CloudZero to ingest and allocate billing data, split up shared resources, track Kubernetes costs, track PaaS and SaaS costs (e.g., Snowflake, MongoDB, Databricks, Datadog, New Relic), and get a holistic view of total cloud spend.

CloudZero applies unit cost telemetry for accurate cost-per-tenant measurements. Engineers can self-serve to explore cost data and receive alerts about trends and anomalies. Based on accurate unit cost metrics, organizations can drive go-to-market decisions, such as pricing and discounting.

CloudZero can help answer questions like:

    • How are engineering changes affecting my systems' efficiency and my company's profitability?

    • Where are there immediate and continuous cost savings?

    • How do new product and feature releases impact cloud costs?

    • What's the cost per tenant of shared cloud resources?

    • How much do specific Kubernetes workloads cost?

For complex orders or to discuss other product and service delivery options, please get in touch with sales@cloudzero.com .

    Highlights

    • Rapidly allocate cloud spend - including shared costs, Kubernetes, and untagged resources; combine AWS, PaaS, and SaaS spend.
    • Drive a culture of engineering cost accountability; surface trends, detect anomalies, and quickly investigate the root cause of cost issues.
    • Measure and improve unit cost metrics such as cost per customer, product feature, transaction, or team.

     Info
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator  to estimate your infrastructure costs.

     Info

    Dimensions summary

CloudZero offers two primary pricing dimensions on AWS Marketplace: an On-Demand option that charges based on every $1,000 of monthly AWS spend, and a Custom option for enterprise-level implementations. Additional usage charges apply when monthly AWS spend exceeds the contracted amount, maintaining a consumption-based pricing model. This structure allows organizations to choose between a standardized pay-as-you-go model or a custom solution tailored to their specific needs, with pricing that scales alongside their AWS usage.

Top-of-mind questions for buyers like you

How is CloudZero's pricing calculated based on AWS spend?
CloudZero's pricing is tied to your monthly AWS spending, with units sold per $1,000 of AWS spend. The platform offers both an On-Demand option for standard implementations and a Custom option for more complex needs, with pricing scaling according to your cloud spend volume.
What happens if my AWS spending exceeds my contracted amount?
When your AWS spending exceeds your contracted amount, additional usage charges apply for each $1,000 increment over the contract limit. These overages are calculated and billed monthly through your AWS Marketplace subscription.
What's the difference between CloudZero On Demand and Custom options?
CloudZero On Demand provides standard cost intelligence features with straightforward per-AWS-spend pricing. The Custom option offers a more tailored solution with additional features and flexibility, typically suited for enterprises with complex cloud cost management needs or specific requirements.

Quick API and One-View Resource Visibility

    Reviewed on Feb 13, 2026

What do you like best about the product?
Allows me to view all resources in one view.
API is quick and allows me to do multiple group bys.
What do you dislike about the product?
Does not all me to do multiple group bys in the UI.
Not that its cloudzeros fault, but costs are delayed
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cost budgeting and allocations to custom dimensions as well as daily cost visualization.

All Cloud Platforms in Centralized location

    Reviewed on Feb 12, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Combining all platforms into one, helping our several cloud providers be brought into one.
What do you dislike about the product?
To heavy AWS specific. AWS is trending down, especially support. Need to have more azure recommendations that work with utilization reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have about 30 azure subscriptions, several amazon accounts, gcp and instead of having to login to each it solves it by giving me a centralized platform. When savings are recommended we still need to go in and validate it since its not 100% accurate but gets us in the right direction.

Flexible Cost Management with Ease of Setup

    Reviewed on Feb 11, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I think the custom views via whatever dimension you want to slice by are very helpful. You can make sure that you carve out specific anomalies or detection for a given product, service, or business unit, however you slice your data. That's very helpful so that we can make sure that we're sending the right message, to the right people, at the right time. Also, CloudZero was incredibly flexible, allowing us to bring our own dimensions in and customize our views to get a holistic view of the entire estate.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love more granular control over the role-based access control (RBAC). We'd like to have a little more granularity in roles that exist within the system so people can edit dashboards and self-serve more regularly without being full admins. I know this is on the roadmap though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use CloudZero to understand our costs in public cloud, get unit level economics insights, and put costs in front of engineers. It gives a holistic view of our cloud estate with customizable views for detecting anomalies.

Bringing multiple sources of infra costs together in one hub. Gaining insights that would not be immediately available as well
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be slow. The analytics dashboard are very hard to use. Hard to align the explorer to the anayltics dashboard. Would like to see more AI insights on the data at hand, including using data from rightsizing to generate better insights.

Actionable Cloud Cost Visibility with Near Real-Time Insights and Strong Unit Economics

    Reviewed on Feb 09, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I value most about CloudZero is its ability to provide clear, actionable visibility into cloud costs by directly linking spend to the underlying business drivers.
By attributing costs to teams, services, features, and customers, it enables meaningful collaboration between Finance and Engineering and supports informed decision-making.
The near real-time insights and strong unit economics capabilities help organizations proactively manage cloud spend, reduce waste, and align infrastructure investments with business outcomes.
What do you dislike about the product?
One area of improvement for CloudZero is the learning curve for new users, particularly for stakeholders who are less familiar with cloud architectures or FinOps concepts.
While the platform is powerful, fully leveraging its advanced features requires an upfront investment in enablement and ongoing governance. Additionally, some organizations may find that achieving the most granular insights depends on a certain level of data hygiene and integration effort, which can take time to mature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CloudZero addresses the lack of transparency and accountability in cloud spending by connecting infrastructure costs to the services, teams, and business outcomes that generate them. Instead of treating cloud spend as a fixed or opaque overhead, it enables detailed cost attribution and unit economics, which allows Finance and Engineering to make data-driven decisions together.
This has benefited us by improving cost ownership, reducing unplanned spend, and enabling proactive cost optimization rather than reactive cost control. It also strengthens forecasting accuracy and supports margin protection by making the financial impact of technical decisions visible early and in near real time.
