Bubbl for public transport is a location-based notification platform with two key components. An SDK that plugs into an existing iOS or Android app, and a dashboard that lets operations and marketing teams draw geofences around stations and platforms, triggering notifications when passengers enter or leave. Recipients can be passengers or station staff, such as platform teams, alerted when a passenger who has requested assistance arrives.
Bubbl turns location into a trigger for the right message, sent to the right person, in the right place.
The platform has two parts. An SDK that integrates into an existing passenger or staff app on iOS or Android. And a dashboard where operations and marketing teams build campaigns, drawing geofences around stations, platforms, concourses, car parks and terminals, then setting what happens when a device enters or leaves one.
Triggers work on entry and exit. When a passenger crosses a geofence, Bubbl can deliver a notification on the spot: a platform change, a replacement-service map during disruption, a quieter-route prompt at a busy interchange, or a survey after the journey. Notifications support image, video, audio, survey and text.
The recipient does not have to be the passenger. A geofence can route a notification to staff instead. For example: a passenger using a rail operator's app flags in their account that they need assistance at a particular station. When they enter the station perimeter, Bubbl sends an alert to the station staff app so the team can meet them, while the passenger is not notified at all. The same pattern fits crowd build-up on a platform, a VIP arrival, or any moment when staff need to act on a passenger's location rather than message the passenger.
Integration is a single SDK install, typically under 30 minutes. After that, campaigns are built and changed from the dashboard with no further development work, so geofences and notification rules keep pace as timetables and services change.
Bubbl runs on AWS. Reporting is real-time with audience segmentation and reusable notification templates.
Bubbl delivers 86% higher engagement than standard push notifications, with up to a 4 x improvement in 30-day retention.
Highlights
Notify passengers based on location:
Draw geofences around stations, platforms, concourses and terminals. When a passenger enters or leaves one, Bubbl delivers a notification on the spot: a platform change, a replacement-service map during disruption, a quieter-route prompt at a busy interchange, or a post-journey survey. Entry and exit triggers, with image, video, audio, survey and text formats.
Send the alert to staff or the passenger:
A geofence can notify the operations team instead of the traveller. When a flagged device crosses the boundary, the alert lands in the station staff app - web or mobile - so the team can act while the passenger is left undisturbed.
Common uses: a passenger who has requested assistance, a VIP arrival, or building crowds on a platform.
Live in about 30 minutes, managed from the dashboard:
Integration is a single SDK install for iOS or Android. After that, geofences and notification rules are built and changed from the dashboard, with no further development needed, so they keep pace with timetables and service changes. Real-time reporting, audience segmentation and reusable templates are built in. Hosted on AWS.
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You choose from three license tiers: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Each is a contract-based subscription billed by units. The tier you pick scales with the number of your app users, so you match your license to your audience size. All three deliver the same location-based push notification service through a single subscription. You add the SDK to your existing iOS or Android app, then build and run campaigns from one dashboard. Higher tiers accommodate more app users under one subscription.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as a unit for billing across the Bronze, Silver, and Gold licenses?
Units are tied to the number of your app users. You buy one subscription and pick a license tier sized to your audience. The tier you choose reflects how many app users the location-based notification service will reach.
If my app user count grows past my license tier, how does the cost change?
Each tier scales to a set number of app users. When your audience outgrows your current tier, you move to a higher tier that covers more users under one subscription. The Bronze, Silver, and Gold licenses differ by the user volume they support, not by feature set.
What do I need on my side to run campaigns under any of these licenses?
You add the Bubbl SDK to your existing iOS or Android app, typically in under 30 minutes, with no rebuild or new infrastructure. You then draw geofences, build notifications, and set entry or exit triggers from one dashboard. This applies to all three license tiers.

Support
Vendor support
Onboarding starts with a setup session to map the target stations and geofences and confirm how the SDK fits the existing app. Most integrations go live within 30 minutes of the install.
Support is available through email at transport-support@bubbl.tech. Engineers are on hand Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00 GMT, for integration help, geofence configuration and reporting questions.
Documentation covers SDK installation, geofence and trigger setup, the staff-notification routing model, and data handling and privacy. Enterprise networks get a named contact and direct access to the engineering team for larger rail, bus and multi-modal rollouts.
AWS infrastructure support
AWS Support is a one-on-one, fast-response support channel that is staffed 24x7x365 with experienced and technical support engineers. The service helps customers of all sizes and technical abilities to successfully utilize the products and features provided by Amazon Web Services.
