Ensure the data in your file systems is free of viruses, ransomware, trojans and other malicious payloads by scanning it with Malware Protection for Amazon EFS by Cloud Storage Security. You can use the same solution to identify sensitive or personally identifiable information (PII) in your EFS volumes. You pay based on how many gigabytes you scan for malware in your file storage each month. A free trial covers your first 30 days. A monthly subscription includes 100GB of premium engine scanning. Beyond that, scanning charges fall into usage tiers set by monthly volume, with separate rates for pre-existing objects. You can add premium scanning engines priced per gigabyte, including added charges for pre-existing objects. Per-file cloud detonation options cover static and dynamic file analysis. One-time fees apply to special pricing offers, and a separate dimension tracks included or prepaid gigabytes.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Billing counts the total volume of file data the service scans for malware each month, measured in gigabytes. New files uploaded to your storage are scanned as they arrive. Pre-existing objects already in storage are metered separately from new-file scanning volume.
Scanning charges fall into volume tiers based on your total gigabytes scanned per month. As your monthly volume rises past a tier boundary, the applicable per-gigabyte rate for that tier applies. Pre-existing object scanning above the included amount is metered under its own dimension.
Base scanning is billed per gigabyte by monthly volume. Premium engine add-ons apply a per-gigabyte charge on top, with a separate rate for pre-existing objects. Cloud detonation is billed per file for static or dynamic analysis. These charges apply independently and appear together on one invoice.

Once Stack creation is completed, look to the Stack Outputs for the Console access URL and open that in your browser. Any additional deployment and management tasks are performed from within the Console.
