What do you like best about the product?
very powerful and customisable, Microsoft native controls are pretty weak and lackluster comparatively. Good performance and pricing, nice to use UI as well. Integrated well and getting onboarding done was good.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some scams still slip through. Admin UI is dated and clunky, policy sprawl gets ugly fast if you don't keep discipline, and pricing creeps every renewal. Also worth deciding if you want a gateway in front of M365 or an API-based approach behind it, that architecture choice matters more than the vendor itself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Securing emails across org, taking place of limited MSFT options. used for Anti-phishing, Anti-spam, Enhanced filtering and safe links . Does the job.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Mimecast Advanced Email Security is that it gives you strong protection without making email support difficult. From an IT support point of view, the investigation tools are especially useful. If an email hasn’t arrived, I can look into what happened. Was it held? Blocked? Filtered for a reason? From there, I can take the right action and explain it clearly to the user. I also like that balance. You’re protecting people from threats like phishing, but you still need email to work smoothly day to day. Good security shouldn’t constantly get in the user’s way.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some admin tasks can feel unintuitive at first, and troubleshooting message delivery can sometimes involve checking several areas to find the cause as well as clunky UI.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mimecast helps protect users from phishing, spam and malicious emails while reducing email-related security risks. It also gives me tools to investigate delivery issues, manage blocked or held messages, and resolve email problems more efficiently for users.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the safety and credibility that Mimecast Advanced Email Security provides. It helps me feel more secure, especially with my personal email, where I sometimes receive emails from unknown sources after publishing research papers. This tool helps me interact with credible resources and tools. Setting up Mimecast wasn't complicated at all.

What is our primary use case?
Mimecast Advanced Email Security serves as my primary tool for managing emails since we use it as our email gateway. We manage various emails coming into our organization and filter which ones are genuine and which are non-genuine. It is a useful tool that helps us filter every non-synchronized email that comes into our organization.
When we face phishing email campaigns with various usernames incorporating our organization members, we filter out every username that is identified as a phishing email campaign and submit it to Mimecast Advanced Email Security, which immediately blocks it based on the suspicions we provide. This has significantly reduced our workload and helped us manage many phishing email campaigns we receive in our organization.
Mimecast Advanced Email Security produces a lot of information about the email, including where the email comes from, its source, and what it contains. It provides various details that I did not expect Mimecast Advanced Email Security could offer, which are extremely helpful to investigate and reach the best conclusion about whether emails are suspicious or genuine. Mimecast Advanced Email Security has helped me tremendously through these two years.
What is most valuable?
Mimecast Advanced Email Security offers various advantages, such as getting a document reviewed to determine whether it is relevant to our organization. It provides a brief review containing details such as file hashes and the contents entailed, helping me as a SOC analyst in determining the genuineness of documents and emails. I consider that a significant advantage of Mimecast Advanced Email Security, and it is very easy to navigate and manage senders accordingly.
Mimecast Advanced Email Security has an enormous amount of features that everyone uses. Mimecast Advanced Email Security has positively impacted our organization by serving as our email gateway for over four years. As a security person, we use Mimecast Advanced Email Security to analyze our day-to-day phishing emails and any other types of emails entering our organization. It easily generates reports about the kinds of emails coming in weekly and classifies them into various categories, making it very helpful to analyze and ensure our email gateway remains safe and secure by updating all security patches.
Regarding measurable outcomes with Mimecast Advanced Email Security, I notice that it saves time whenever we receive phishing emails because it automatically blocks them based on previous input, analyzing prompts and patterns. It generates reports on the phishing emails blocked, and we can review or release emails if needed, significantly reducing the time spent on handling these issues. Mimecast Advanced Email Security proves to be a useful tool, allowing me as security personnel to work in a more peaceful manner.
What needs improvement?
Mimecast Advanced Email Security can be improved by integrating artificial intelligence to process emails more effectively, providing summaries that would be substantially helpful. The user interface is good as it is, so I have nothing much to add regarding improvements.
The accuracy of Mimecast Advanced Email Security is good, but I cannot solely rely on AI accuracy for actions, as AI is not infallible. It analyzes patterns but sometimes overlooks suspicious indicators. While Mimecast Advanced Email Security uses a precautionary method to block emails, the process is good but still requires fine-tuning based on user experience.
