Techila Distributed Computing Engine is a patented middleware solution designed to handle high throughput and scale out workloads for demanding parallel applications. It supports popular simulation applications such as MATLAB, and programming languages such as R, Python, C, C++ and Windows .Net. Using the TDCE APIs, you can dramatically accelerate your applications and codes by harnessing the full resources of the cloud to run your simulations faster. TDCE delivers time to results that can be 100s or even 1000s or times faster than your workstation, dramatically reducing your "Time to results"
Highlights
Scale your simulation to 1000s of cores - using the power of TDCE and AWS to unleash your applications and codes
Get your results 100s or even 1000s of times faster than you can with a local PC
Supports your favourite programming languages with API integration (Python, R, Matlab, C, C++, .Net etc.)

This listing is the Techila Server component, billed by the hour across eight m5 instance sizes. You pick one size to run the server that manages your distributed computing environment. The sizes range from m5.large up through m5.24xlarge, differing by CPU and memory capacity. Larger instances suit heavier workloads, such as coordinating over 10,000 worker cores. Pricing scales with the instance size you select and the hours you run it. All sizes deliver the same server role; only compute capacity changes. Worker capacity is subscribed and billed separately from this server.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What resources does one hour of the selected m5 instance actually run?
Each hour runs one Techila Server virtual machine at the m5 size you pick. The server manages worker deployment through the dashboard and stores project data. The CloudFormation template sets the operating system, a 1024 GB EBS volume, and network resources automatically. Larger sizes add CPU and memory for coordinating more worker cores.
Am I charged for this server when I stop it or delete my worker instances?
Stopping the server VM through the console halts server compute charges but you still pay for its disk and the reserved static IP address. Aurora data continues to incur costs if used. Deleting all worker instances stops worker software charges but does not affect the server's own billing.
How do the server hourly charges combine with the separately billed worker capacity?
You pay the server hourly rate for the single management VM continuously while it runs. Worker software is billed separately per instance, rounded up to the next full hour each. Ten workers run for twenty minutes bill ten worker-hours. The server charge is steady; worker charges scale with how many you start.

CloudFormation Template (CFT)
AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."
