With Jitsi Meet, you can host high-quality virtual meetings while maintaining full control over infrastructure, data, and privacy all within your own AWS environment.
Our pre-configured AMI enables rapid deployment and seamless operation of Jitsi Meet, optimized for up to 50 concurrent users. The deployment includes a single-server setup with Jitsi Meet and Jitsi Video Bridge (JVB) installed, and is bundled with an AWS CloudWatch monitoring dashboard in addition to core Jitsi components.

Dimensions summary
You pay an hourly software fee tied to the EC2 instance type you launch. The twelve options are instance sizes, not feature tiers, so pricing scales with the compute you select. Smaller sizes like t3.small and t3a.small suit light loads, while larger sizes like c5.xlarge and t3.xlarge handle heavier use. This fee covers the pre-built, patched deployment only. AWS bills you separately for the EC2 instance, storage, and data transfer. A 365-day contract is available at a reduced rate if you plan to run the server for a year.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
A c5.large with 2 vCPU and 4GB handles small teams. For loads approaching 100 users, move up to c5.xlarge. The twelve instance options let you match compute to your peak call size. Right-size to actual load rather than defaulting to the largest option.
The hourly software fee meters running time. A fully stopped instance does not accrue the software fee. The Jitsi signalling server usually needs to stay up for scheduling, so turning it off between calls saves less than expected. AWS may still bill storage for a stopped instance.
No. The fee covers the pre-built, patched meeting server only. Recording needs its own separate instance with at least 8GB RAM, which bills independently. Video data transfer and recording storage are billed by AWS separately. Bandwidth from relaying streams is often the surprising line on first bills.

The cloudformation script will deploy Jitsi Meet and Jitsi Video Bridge in a single server.
CloudFormation Template (CFT)
AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."

Usage instructions
Click the "View Purchase Options" button. After that, you will need to accept the terms and conditions. Click on "Accept Terms" to proceed. Please wait for a few minutes while the processing takes place. Once it's completed, click on "Continue to Configuration". Select your preferred region in "Configure this software" page and click "Continue to Launch" button. From the "Choose Action" dropdown menu, select "Launch CloudFormation", and then click "Launch". Fill the data and continue to deploy the product.
Access the application via a browser at http://<domain-name>. To generate SSL certificates first point dns to server, login to the instance and run certbot --nginx. To ssh, use port 22 and the username 'ubuntu'. Admin email is required for SSL generation. IAM Role is set up and configured with the necessary permissions to assume the role for the meet service. IAM policy assigned to instances for push metrics to cloudwatch dashboard.
