Overview
This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for supported deployment, and the aMiSTACX A51 Monitoring & Control Dashboard.
For those that have to have a Windows Server our utility deployment solution for Windows + IIS + PHP can help you get up and running very quickly. Windows 2016 is very simplistic in form, and yet powerful to get the job done. Later versions of Windows Server introduce many components that are just not required for a basic remote EC2 and RDS management.
This base stack is Windows 2016, IIS 10, PHP 8.2.x, WinSCP, Putty, FireFox, and phpMyAdmin. The server deploys with PHP Manager, Putty and WinSCP, and is pre-configured to help you manage a remote RDS server.
For those that need to administer an AWS RDS instance, the phpMyAdmin is pre-installed. Just add your RDS address and connect. [Make sure SG is open.]
Note: Use IIS PHP Manager to install and switch PHP Versions

Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for the Windows 2016 stack, with no monthly subscription or commitment. Billing scales with the EC2 instance size you pick. The 16 options cover two general-purpose families, t2 and t3/t3a, running from small through 2xlarge. Larger sizes within a family carry more compute and memory, so their hourly rate rises. Two g3 options (4xlarge and 8xlarge) add GPU resources for heavier graphics workloads. The aMiSTACX hourly charge is separate from AWS hosting charges. You start and stop any time, and billing stops when you stop the stack.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each hourly rate covers one running EC2 instance of that type. It includes the Windows 2016 base stack with IIS 10, PHP 8.2.x, WinSCP, Putty, phpMyAdmin, and the A51 Monitoring & Control dashboard. The instance type you pick sets the compute and memory, which drives the rate.
No. When you stop the stack, aMiSTACX hourly charges stop too. You only pay for running hours. This suits development work that does not run around the clock. Note that AWS may still charge separately for storage attached to stopped instances, since AWS hosting is billed apart from aMiSTACX.
The aMiSTACX hourly rate shown here covers the software stack and A51 dashboard. AWS bills you separately for the underlying hosting, like compute and storage. Both appear through AWS billing. You can lower the AWS hosting portion using AWS reserved pricing, but that does not change the aMiSTACX hourly rate.

We needed to migrate mysql data to RDS, and to configure the AWS RDS mysql. I had tried connecting from my local computer, but had a lot of issues. So I found this AMI on MP, followed the instructions, and was able to connect in a few minutes.
Although I had to increase the phpmyadmin upload threshold; otherwise, everything was good and worth it.
