What do you like best about the product?
Vellum's team is awesome to work with and very responsive. Large list of LLMs to work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
UI can be clunky and buggy at times, but these are typically mild issues for convenience rather than workflow-breaking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vellum helps me build and experiment with multi-prompt pipelines and compare efficacy between different LLMs.

Fastest Way To Test and Deploy AI Workflows

What do you like best about the product?
We have immensely benefited from the UI workflow builder when narrowing in on our AI workflows. It gives us a centralized way to quickly test and try different prompts and models and see what impact it would have and what we feel comfortable deploying for our customers. The alternatives were too code heavy, this on the other-hand shortens the loop where anyone with an idea can test and then quickly move to production.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have not been able to fully leverage their eval solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Developing AI workflows, specifically RAG workflows. Helped us speed up development without increasing engineering resources.

What do you like best about the product?
The low code capability and drag and drop design is amazing for quickly building custom AI workflows that are production ready. Also, the ability to use PDFs as an input variable without being forced to use a document loader is great for those looking to use the computer vision capabilities of multi modal models.
What do you dislike about the product?
The evaluation UI leaves a little to be desired, but the team is actively communicating and working on updates. Also, would like to see an annotation queue and better UI on the data sets and user feedback collection.

Deploying complex workflows without writing a bunch of code.

What do you dislike about the product?
Of all the things Vellum offers, the evals could probably be better. It's just a trade off of tools. There are some dedicated eval products in the market that optimize solely for the eval portion. Vellum's eval suite lags a bit behind market offerings but Vellum's strength is the integration of evals and coupling them with workflows. For other products, you need to send their data over.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vellum helps our AI team gets pipelines out much master. Instead of having to worry about non-differentiated work like integrating the latest models as code. All we have to do is change things in the UI and Vellum handles all that behind the scenes. We strongly rely on Vellum for the observability and monitoring piece.
