fal is the generative media platform for developers. Access the world's best image, video, audio, and 3D models hosted on fal powered by AWS infrastructure, through a unified API, and build AI-powered products without managing infrastructure. Trusted by over 2.5 million developers and leading companies, fal provides everything needed to go from prototype to production at enterprise scale.
Why fal?
Unified API. 1,000+ models. One API to access top models and switch between them with a single parameter change. No need to integrate separate providers or manage different SDKs. fal moves fast on new model launches too, with day-0 availability the moment a model drops, so you are never waiting to integrate the latest generation.
Fastest inference for generative media. Speed is where fal started and where it continues to invest the most. Proprietary optimizations, including custom CUDA kernels, optimized attention layers, and inference engine tuning, consistently deliver the fastest inference for diffusion and generative media workloads. Reliability matches the speed: 99.99% historical uptime, fault tolerance, and intelligent request queuing are built in.
Test and compare before you commit. Sandbox lets you run the same prompt across multiple models side by side, estimate costs before running, and share results with your team. Instead of guessing which model fits your use case, you can see the differences visually and make model selection concrete.

AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This listing uses a contract with two usage-based dimensions tied to actual consumption. The Standard Plan (Units) covers Pay-As-You-Go usage, where you pay only for the inference you run across models and GPU time. The Standard Plan fal Credit (Units) applies to platform overage, billing any usage beyond your committed amount. Both dimensions scale with how much you use, measured in units. There are no fixed instance sizes or tiers here. Your cost rises or falls with request volume, model type, and runtime. Together, the two dimensions let your bill track real activity.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one unit when I run inference on this platform?
A unit measures actual consumption of a model or GPU. For media models, billing ties to output: video by second or clip, images by count or megapixel, audio per 1,000 characters or second, and 3D by generation or credit. Your unit count scales with the model you call and output size.
How do the two dimensions combine on my invoice, and which one drives most of my cost?
The Standard Plan (Units) covers Pay-As-You-Go usage within your commitment. The Standard Plan fal Credit (Units) applies only to platform overage beyond that commitment. Both bill in units and appear together. Pay-As-You-Go usage drives most of your cost; overage credits apply only after you exceed your committed amount.
When I deploy my own model on Serverless, how are GPU runners billed?
You pay per-second for the total time your runners stay alive, at the rate for your chosen machine type. This includes setup, idle keep-alive time, active processing, draining, and teardown. You are not billed for pending time or container image pulls. Runners scale to zero when traffic stops.

Extremely fast inference and seamless API integration for generative models
Reviewed on Oct 20, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I love most about fal is the extremely fast inference and the seamless integration of Flux and other generative models via the API. The low latency enables true real-time applications, and thanks to the serverless infrastructure, I don't have to worry about GPU management. I also find the wide selection of production-ready image, video, and audio models particularly practical: This allows me to seamlessly integrate text-to-image and image-to-image into my automations. Overall, my workflow becomes noticeably more efficient and cost-effective at high volumes.
What do you dislike about the product?
One disadvantage of fal is that costs can quickly rise with intensive use of the API or the playgrounds. For hobby users or small teams, a cheaper entry-level model or alternatively a more generous free monthly quota would be desirable, so that the platform can be better utilized even with frequent experimentation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before using fal, creating high-quality AI images and videos was very time-consuming because we had to try and compare different tools. fal solves this problem with a central platform and an extremely fast API. This saves us a tremendous amount of time, reduces friction in the process, and allows us to complete our projects much faster.

Fast, High-Quality Visuals for Sales Presentations
Reviewed on Oct 20, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about fal is how quickly it lets me create high-quality visuals for my sales process. I work in B2B sales for an ad tech company, and I use it to produce banners and static images that show brands what their campaigns could look like. Because it gives access to several models, I can run the same piece through different ones and pick the result that fits best. Generation is fast, and the output quality is strong enough to bring straight into a client meeting.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform is clearly built with developers in mind, so it isn’t as intuitive for someone on the sales side. It took me some time to find my way around and understand how to get the results I wanted. A simpler, more guided experience for non-technical users would make it much easier to adopt.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
fal solves the problem of creating custom creative examples without depending on a design team. Comparing models and generating banners for each prospect used to be out of reach for early-stage deals, but now I can do it myself in minutes. That makes my proposals more visual and personalized, helps brands picture their campaigns with us and leads to more engaging first conversations.

Fast, Easy Image Generation with Generous Free Credits and Handy Editing Tools
Reviewed on Oct 20, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I liked how easy it was to generate images and how quickly the platform delivered results. There are plenty of free credits to experiment with different generation features, and promo codes are available too. I also enjoyed the additional tools, like image upscaling and background removal, which make it useful for more than just image generation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the generated images look noticeably AI-generated and lack a natural, realistic appearance. It can take a few rounds of prompting at times and adjustments to get the desired result, so improving the realism and accuracy of generated images would make the experience better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's relatively easy to improve image quality through upscaling while preserving the original details and appearance. This is especially useful when I need higher-resolution images without changing the content or overall look. Many other platforms change the original image which can be frustrating, this does it slightly better!

Fast, Brand-Savvy Image Creation - with a Technical Learning Curve
Reviewed on Oct 20, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I find fal much quicker than other software for image generation. We use it to illustrate and animate drawings, and it saves us a lot of time manually amending things in Canva. The image generation and image-to-video tools produce high-quality content and understand our brand requirements. I also found the initial setup easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find fal quite technical and not completely self-explanatory when building a product. It can require some development knowledge, which isn’t always needed in a marketing role, so it may not be suitable for people with limited technical knowledge.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use fal to illustrate and animate drawings, and image generation is so much quicker than with other software.

Fast, Realistic Staging Images—But Limited Video Support
Reviewed on Oct 20, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I use fal to generate real estate staging images, and it creates the most realistic staging images. Generation is quick and mostly accurate. I appreciate having the parameters I need as a developer to tweak generation controls, such as image dimensions, creativity, and how it follows prompts. The setup was quite easy; I used it through OpenRouter. fal is focused on what it’s built for, and it does that well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't find fal a good option for video generation, so I have to use a different provider. Since image and video generation are closely related, I’d like fal to offer both through the same API or provider, with a video generation model and filter options. fal is focused on what it does, but it doesn’t do multiple things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use fal to turn photos our realtors upload to our platform into real estate staging images.
