Overview
We built Grok Code Fast 1 from scratch, starting with a brand-new model architecture. To lay a robust foundation, we carefully assembled a pre-training corpus rich with programming-related content. For post-training, we curated high-quality datasets that reflect real-world pull requests and coding tasks. Throughout the training process, we collaborated closely with our launch partners to refine and sharpen the model's behavior inside their agentic platforms. Grok Code Fast 1 has mastered the use of common tools like grep, terminal, and file editing, and thus should feel right at home in your favorite IDE.
We've teamed up with select partners to offer Grok Code Fast 1 as launch, including GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Cline, Roo Code, Kilo Code, opencode, and Windsurf.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Grok has real-time access to X data. It's the best tool for staying updated on breaking news and social media trends as they happen, whereas other AIs often feel a few steps behind.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the lack of robust safety guardrails, especially regarding image and video generation. It sometimes produces controversial or inappropriate content that other platforms would block. While I appreciate freedom of speech, the platform needs better moderation to prevent the creation of harmful or non-consensual imagery.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Grok solves the information lag common in other AI models. While others rely on static training data or slow web searches, Grok uses real-time X integration to solve the problem of staying updated on breaking news, market shifts, and social sentiments as they happen. It also addresses the 'sterile' nature of AI by providing direct, unfiltered answers to complex or controversial questions that other chatbots often dodge.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the options with Grok because you’re not limited with the basic AI version and it’s a great idea that they offer that version

What do I dislike ? Is it times it doesn’t quite get what I’m saying now it could be me. It could be Grok however I tend to move onto ChatGPT or somewhere else. If I’m not getting the right information from Grok it doesn’t happen often and I suppose it happens with all of them as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Basically the problems that Grok is solving for me is quick solutions quick responses saving me quite a bit of the research time and usually coming back with fairly accurate results,
As well as giving me a responses to minor issues it helps with problem-solving when I get stuck on certain computer programs etc. Or app apps very helpful.

What do you dislike about the product?
At times, Grok can be a little inconsistent with highly specific or technical questions. While it’s fast and conversational, there are moments when I’d like more precision or clearer sourcing.

What do you like best about the product?
I find Grok to be a very powerful AI tool that I use for a lot of things, including coding, brainstorming ideas, and language translation. It helps me get quick access to information at my fingertips, which is really helpful. I like that it makes language not a barrier for me and gives me access to information globally, regardless of language. What I like most about Grok is its speed—it answers my questions very fast. I also value the code interpreter tool a lot because it helps debug and explain code very quickly. The initial setup was super easy; I just signed up and got to work immediately without any issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
I will say the occasional over-suggestions. It gives me more information than I need. Information being put there is more broad. It gives me too much information, which makes me overwhelmed with thoughts. Sometimes, the information they give is too much. So, you should try to be more specific.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Grok for coding, brainstorming ideas, and language translation. It helps with debugging, provides quick access to information globally, and sparks ideas by structuring thoughts. It ensures language is not a barrier.
