A practical example in my work is our IDP integration to build an inventory of applications and users, and then using the app catalog to identify unmanaged or shadow SaaS. For example, if I find a team who is using an application that is not approved, I can assign an owner, assess its usage and risks, and then decide whether to approve it, integrate, or remove it.

Out of the features I mentioned, the biggest impact I clearly see in my company is license optimization because it combines actual login and usage data with license revision, allowing me to identify underutilized or unnecessary licenses and make better renewal decisions. It gives measurable business outcomes by reducing SaaS spend and improving security.

In terms of positive impact on our company, the biggest positive impact is that it has reduced our manual effort while improving visibility and control. 1Password SaaS Manager has given us a centralized inventory of applications, users, licenses, and usage, which helps identify shadow IT and unnecessary access. It also supports automated onboarding and offboarding, so we have reduced stale accounts and reclaimed unused licenses. I measure success through hours of administration saved, licenses reclaimed, and SaaS spend reduced.

Overall, I see 1Password SaaS Manager as a strong platform for bringing visibility, governance, and cost control together. Its value is greatest when it is integrated with identity security and IT operations rather than being used in isolation. I would recommend starting with the highest risk and highest spend applications and expanding coverage. The key is turning SaaS visibility into measurable security and operational outcomes. I have given this review a rating of nine out of ten.

My main use case for 1Password SaaS Manager is organizing all passwords in different vaults and, most importantly, sharing credentials with my teammates.

A specific example of how I use 1Password SaaS Manager to share credentials with my teammates is that I created a service account recently and needed to share it with the entire team. Rather than sending it through other means such as Slack, messages, or email, I go to the team's vault that we already have and create that credential. I share just the name of the credential with the entire team in a channel so that they can access it.

1Password SaaS Manager is mainly used for sharing credentials with the team and updating them from time to time. The only thing I think is missing is knowing who created the credentials.

The best features 1Password SaaS Manager offers include credential sharing, which is really useful, and easy access because anytime I type a password on the browser, it asks me if I want to save it on 1Password. It is very handy, and I appreciate how secure and easy it is to use.

In terms of security, I can create different vaults and give access to different people within the organization who I want to have access to the vault, so a vault becomes like a secure folder. When I save the password or credentials, it allows me to have it in a secure password format so that it appears as a dot rather than the actual password, preventing anyone from seeing it while minimizing shoulder surfing. 1Password SaaS Manager is very easy to use.

1Password SaaS Manager has positively impacted my organization because many automations depend on 1Password for authentication. They authenticate to 1Password and get the respected passwords or credentials they need, such as tokens and APIs. It is really easy to access via the codebase, so my major use case becomes automation that uses 1Password to log in and get the respective credentials.

The only thing I think is missing is knowing who created the credentials.

One major thing I think is missing from 1Password SaaS Manager is the ability to know who created credentials within a vault. I have ten teammates who create credentials, and from time to time, we have to update those credentials, but we never find out who created those passwords among the team. We currently write it down on notes, but it would be nice if we could have logs of who created or updated the passwords over the future, at least three to six months of logs within 1Password itself.

I have been using 1Password SaaS Manager for more than four years and have been using it consistently for the last two years.

1Password SaaS Manager is very stable in my experience, and I do not have any concerns at this time.

I have not looked into the scalability of 1Password SaaS Manager, but if there is one, I would like to explore it. Currently, almost everyone in the organization uses 1Password as a credential manager, but when it comes to adding more passwords, we do not have many that require scaling.

I did not use customer support for 1Password SaaS Manager, but I believe that if others needed help, they might have reached out. I have not yet.

I previously used LastPass and Google Password Manager before using 1Password SaaS Manager.

We deploy 1Password SaaS Manager in a private cloud.

I do not have the privilege to share which cloud provider we use for our private cloud deployment, but it is usually AWS or Azure.

I cannot comment on how much was invested in 1Password SaaS Manager, but I can see how it is useful because it saves a lot of time when doing automations. It has saved us time in updating passwords and accessing them easily and efficiently, but when it comes to fewer employees, that is not a metric I can use to evaluate if it was a good investment.

I am not sure whether we purchased 1Password SaaS Manager through the AWS Marketplace, as I was not involved in that process.

It has secure parameters where I can create a vault and share it with the team I want, and I also have an individual vault where I save my own passwords and can share them with different teams. I find the access control really nice, so if someone wants a one-stop place to save all their credentials, I recommend choosing 1Password.

I have not used 1Password SaaS Manager's governance or AI capabilities yet, but I think it would be nice to see those capabilities and if they can be used in automations.

I have not used the AI capabilities of 1Password SaaS Manager yet, so I am unable to comment on the accuracy and reliability of the output. If there is an MCP for 1Password, that would be very intriguing to explore and use.

I would rate this product an eight out of ten.

I primarily use 1Password SaaS Manager for creating super secure and long-winded unique passwords for various work-related platforms.

I utilize 1Password SaaS Manager daily to log into my company's Trinet account, which houses all of my benefits, PTO, and pay information. I use 1Password to autofill my password to the Trinet platform with ease so that I am able to access and utilize all of those company tools that are available to me.

The general use case for 1Password SaaS Manager is primarily password-related, but it does store passwords for a number of different things such as my general Nosto login and my Gmail, allowing me to quickly log into many high-level touch areas due to my use with 1Password.

My favorite feature of 1Password SaaS Manager is that it automatically creates safe and secure passwords so I do not have to think about matching all the characters and fields that are required. I can then automatically save it to my 1Password account so that once the password has been created for me, I can quickly log into these different websites where I am required to enter these specific passwords.

The automatic password generation and autofill of 1Password SaaS Manager has definitely saved me time as it allows me to log into things with ease and also alleviates the headache of having to remember passwords and what password corresponds to what platform. Since everything is stored under 1Password dashboard and I have the extension installed, I do not have to worry about manually entering or trying to remember what is associated with what.

1Password SaaS Manager has positively impacted my organization in that, while I do not necessarily think that productivity varies between user to user just because we are using it to store login information, it has brought peace of mind to the larger IT department in knowing that we are using safe and secure passwords in valuable platforms that might have detailed information. Unfortunately, our IT department does not share particular information regarding reduced security incidents or less time spent on password resets since adopting 1Password SaaS Manager, but I know that as a company, we are all pleased with our general experience with using 1Password.

The one thing I get frustrated about with 1Password SaaS Manager is that sometimes when I am using a password for something that is not stored in 1Password and does not need to be a secure password or is not for a work-related platform, it is hard for me to exit out of the window and bypass it to override its manual suggestion.

I chose a rating of nine out of ten for 1Password SaaS Manager because a little more ease to bypass the suggestion, as I have mentioned, would make it a perfect ten for me. Outside of that, I have no real complaints; it is a great time-saver and quickly and efficiently creates secure passwords.

I have been using 1Password SaaS Manager for a little over a year and a half, since November of 2024.

In my experience, 1Password SaaS Manager is stable with no crashes or downtime.

1Password SaaS Manager's scalability seems fine as it does not seem to have any setbacks as the company continues to grow, though I am not really an advanced user.

I have not personally had to reach out to customer support for 1Password SaaS Manager as I have not had any issues with the service.

I was previously using Google at my old job, but coming to Nosto, they were using 1Password SaaS Manager, so that is where I now store passwords for work-related items.

1Password SaaS Manager's main use case for me is to research shadow IT discovery and access governance across my lab and departments because we have various research labs and faculty bringing different cloud tools, so SaaS management actually gives us visibility into applications that IT may not be aware about.

A specific example of when I used 1Password SaaS Manager to discover shadow IT or manage access governance in my lab involves a group of students setting up a cloud-based malware analysis sandbox. Rather than using our central vault, the students under my supervision created a free-tier log management platform and hard-coded an unmonitored API key into the script. I was able to flag this because I was using 1Password SaaS Manager's secret automation and SaaS manager capabilities, catching the unapproved SaaS service before the research could proceed and any telemetry was logged.

One of the best features I appreciate about 1Password SaaS Manager is its ability to address shadow IT, especially in today's environment, as we have different kinds of AI tools that may not have been approved by IT. Understanding that or looking at that across the organization and getting the associated telemetry is always a good idea.

1Password SaaS Manager's telemetry feature is really helpful to me because real-time alerts are quite beneficial, especially when configuring notifications that send through Slack or Teams, particularly when an authorized user is using an unsanctioned AI tool or application.

1Password SaaS Manager has positively impacted my environment by discovering shadow IT, which is significant in an academic or research setting, as often many different AI tools or applications are deployed that may not be permitted.

1Password SaaS Manager could be improved by incorporating features tailored to rapid turnover environments, such as student life cycle tools, addressing challenges based on the high student connection rates in a university setting with fixed-term dates and semesters.

I have been using 1Password SaaS Manager for the past two to three years, having originally adopted it in my department lab to handle infrastructure for our hands-on security courses and research environments, and I also ended up integrating it into my personal home setup.

I have seen a return on investment with 1Password SaaS Manager primarily in security, as it greatly aids in shadow IT discoverability, although I do not have specific metrics.

Although I do not have the metrics specifically, I did notice measurable results in my research lab and home lab due to the examples I have provided, leading to improved real-time visibility.

I advise others looking into using 1Password SaaS Manager to consider that if you already use 1Password for password management or your secrets, adopting 1Password SaaS Manager is quite seamless.

Regarding 1Password SaaS Manager's AI capabilities, I think it does a really good job at shadow AI discovery, identifying unapproved AI tools, especially now with many standalone AI tools and browser extensions, thus providing instant visibility which is really important. Adding visibility into data loss prevention would also be an advantage.

I find the accuracy and reliability of 1Password SaaS Manager's output quite high, although I do not have a metric to quantify that.

I rated 1Password SaaS Manager an eight out of ten based on the reasons I have provided throughout this review.

I have no additional thoughts about 1Password SaaS Manager.

My main use case for 1Password SaaS Manager is a centralized password manager for our whole company. I work in IT, and we have many logins across our company, including internal sites and external access. It creates ease of use instead of everyone having to manually input the passwords, and we also use it as an MFA, such as a one-time password on some websites.

The best features 1Password SaaS Manager offers include the open and fill function, the integration, and the ability for it to recognize login areas within any website and save those credentials automatically. I also appreciate that it has the ability to create vaults, allowing us to create groups of passwords and manage access within our environment.

1Password SaaS Manager has positively impacted our organization by making it significantly more secure. Previously, we had passwords out in the open, leading to frequent mistakes and password resets. This has effectively eliminated those issues and sped up the process of users accessing the tools they need exponentially. Before, users had to manually copy and paste credentials, but now it is all open and fill.

If I could add or change one small thing about 1Password SaaS Manager, it would be the setting that controls auto-saving identities because it can get annoying when you are on certain pages. Perhaps if it was easier to see within the settings, that would be beneficial.

I have been using 1Password SaaS Manager for approximately three years.

1Password SaaS Manager is stable; I am not aware of any downtime in the three years I have used it.

The scalability of 1Password SaaS Manager is effectively infinite; I have not run into any issues with that.

I have not previously used a different solution; my experience starts with 1Password SaaS Manager.

My advice to others looking into using 1Password SaaS Manager is that it works very well. I have not run into too many issues, although there can be some quirks with using the desktop app and browser extension, such as unlocking the extension with the desktop app when sometimes you are locked out of it, which can be annoying. Otherwise, it is a good product. I would rate this product a ten.
