FluidCloud - VMware to Nutanix NC2 on AWS Migration Platform

     Info
    Sold by: FluidCloud
    Deployed on AWS
FluidCloud maps your VMware estate as a dependency graph, compares destinations, and delivers execution-ready migration plans - from discovery to operational in two weeks.

    Overview

The VMware Exit Problem You Actually Have

Most VMware migrations fail not on VM motion but on the surrounding operating environment - NSX policies, IAM bindings, DR runbooks, backup topology, observability, and compliance evidence. FluidCloud reads your entire VMware environment as a live graph, scores destination portability, estimates costs, and produces execution-ready exit artifacts before renewal pressure forces a suboptimal decision.

    How FluidCloud Works

FluidCloud delivers a productized workflow combining industry-defining software with a forward-deployed engineer. From live VMware estate to operational in a new destination in two weeks.

Phase 1 - Discover (Minutes): A FluidCloud engineer connects read-only to your VMware environment. The product inventories VMs, NSX, IAM, DR tooling, monitoring, compliance workflows, and shared services - building a live as-is graph in days, not weeks.

Phase 2 - Classify (1 Day): Workloads sort into rehost, relocate, refactor, retire, or hold-for-now buckets based on business criticality, dependency density, and migration risk.

Phase 3 - Compare (1 Day): All destinations - Azure VMware Solution, AWS EVS, Nutanix AHV, NC2 on AWS, public-cloud-native, Proxmox/KVM, and hybrid split estate - scored against the same estate model in hours, not weeks.

Phase 4 - Plan (1-2 Days): Full wave plan generated from the versioned graph and destination decision including landing-zone requirements, cutover sequence, validation gates, and rollback logic.

Phase 5 - Execute (5-7 Days): Endpoint updates run against the FluidCloud-generated plan covering connection strings, IAM bindings, DR pointers, monitoring agents, and runbook updates.

    Getting Started After Subscribing

After subscribing through AWS Marketplace, you will receive a confirmation email with access to the FluidCloud platform. A FluidCloud engineer will be assigned to your engagement and will schedule an onboarding call to initiate the read-only discovery connection to your VMware environment. The two-week timeline begins once connectivity is established.

    Prerequisites and Scope Boundaries

    • VMware vSphere/vCenter environment (source)
    • Read-only access credentials for vCenter inventory and NSX configuration
    • Network reachability between FluidCloud and your vCenter endpoint
    • NSX-T environments supported for full network fabric capture
    • The two-week timeline assumes environments up to several thousand VMs; larger estates may require additional time
    • Source environments must be VMware-based; physical servers and non-VMware hypervisors are not supported as source

    What FluidCloud Captures Beyond VMs

A VM can be moved and still not be operational. FluidCloud captures the surrounding context that determines whether a workload can actually run, recover, comply, and be operated in its next environment:

    • VM and Workload Layer: VM definitions, clusters, templates, boot order
    • Network Fabric: Segments, edges, switches, routing assumptions, firewalls
    • Identity and Security: Directory bindings, role grants, certificates, trust chains
    • Resilience and Compliance: Replication, recovery plans, audit workflows, evidence chains
    • Monitoring and Tooling: Dashboards, alerts, scripts, scheduled jobs
    • Migration Control: Dependency graph, classification, scoring, validation gates

    Destination Independence

FluidCloud keeps your cloud options open even after migration. The estate model is destination-independent, so you do the analysis once and reuse it across AVS, AWS EVS, NC2, Nutanix AHV, cloud-native, Proxmox/KVM, and hybrid paths. Credible exit-readiness changes the procurement conversation because alternatives stop being theoretical.

    AWS Integration

FluidCloud supports AWS EVS and EC2 hybrid destinations for AWS-centered organizations seeking continuity plus phased modernization. Nutanix Cloud Clusters (NC2) on AWS enables VMware-to-AWS migrations preserving VM-centric operations while moving onto AWS infrastructure. The platform's Cloud Cloning technology and APIs integrate with partner tooling to execute destination-specific migration steps.

    Highlights

    • FluidCloud maps your live VMware estate as a dependency graph capturing VMs, NSX policies, IAM bindings, DR runbooks, backup topology, and compliance workflows. Discovery connects read-only and builds the graph in minutes - surfacing the operational dependencies that determine whether workloads can run, recover, and comply in a new environment.
    • Compare seven destination paths in parallel - Azure VMware Solution, AWS EVS, Nutanix AHV, NC2 on AWS, public-cloud-native, Proxmox/KVM, and hybrid split estate - all scored against the same estate model. You do the analysis once and preserve optionality rather than locking into a vendor before understanding your full environment.
    • From live VMware estate to operational in a new destination in two weeks. SOC 2 Type II compliant with 10,000+ VMs moved on deadline across 8 public clouds. Cloud Cloning technology clones NSX-T policies to destination constructs, preventing the incidents that derail traditional migrations.

    Dimensions summary

You buy this platform as a contract based on how many resources you migrate. The three options are tiers set by resource count. Starter covers up to 1,000 resources. Growth covers up to 5,000 resources. Enterprise covers up to 10,000 resources. A resource means any item in your environment, such as a VM, network policy, or identity binding. Pricing scales with the size of the estate you plan to migrate. You pick the tier that fits your total resource volume. Larger environments move up to a higher tier.

    Top-of-mind questions for buyers

A resource is any single item in your environment that the platform maps into its dependency graph. This includes VMs, network policies like firewall rules, IAM bindings, service accounts, recovery plans, and backup groups. Each item counts individually, so the surrounding operating environment adds to your total beyond raw VM count.
Each tier sets a ceiling: Starter up to 1,000, Growth up to 5,000, Enterprise up to 10,000 resources. If your estate exceeds your tier's limit, you move up to the tier that covers your total resource count. Pick the tier that fits your full estate before you start.
It includes both. The platform reads VMs plus the surrounding operating environment as one graph. That covers network fabric like segments and firewalls, identity items like role grants and service accounts, resilience items like recovery plans and backup groups, and monitoring rules. All of these add to your resource total.
