Overview
Cloud Ops Group - Managed Cloud Infrastructure Services
Cloud Ops Group specializes in designing and managing Web-scale AWS architectures that are load-balanced, auto-scaled, self-healing, and cost-effective. We provision, configure, and operate cloud infrastructure so your team can focus on building products rather than managing servers.
What You Get
- Infrastructure Design and Implementation - Architecture built on AWS services including Amazon EC2, Amazon RDS, Amazon VPC, AWS CloudWatch, and Elastic Load Balancing, tailored to your workload requirements.
- Ongoing Management and Optimization - Regular reviews of your infrastructure for cost efficiency and performance, leveraging AWS Cost Explorer and right-sizing recommendations.
- Monitoring and Alerting - Implementation and configuration of monitoring tools integrated with AWS CloudWatch or other tools to provide real-time visibility into system health and automated incident detection.
- Environment Management - On-demand access to production, development, and test environments that accelerate application delivery and streamline your path to production.
How It Works
Our engagement follows a structured four-phase approach:
Phase 1: Discovery and Assessment We evaluate your current infrastructure, workloads, and business requirements. Deliverables include an infrastructure audit report and a recommended architecture design document.
Phase 2: Architecture Design We design a Web-scale architecture aligned with AWS Well-Architected Framework principles, covering reliability, security, performance, and cost optimization. Deliverables include architecture diagrams, network topology documentation, and an implementation plan.
Phase 3: Implementation We provision and configure your AWS infrastructure, set up monitoring dashboards, configure alerting thresholds, and establish automated scaling policies. Deliverables include a fully deployed environment, runbooks, and access documentation.
Phase 4: Ongoing Management We provide continuous infrastructure management including patching, optimization reviews, incident response, and capacity planning. Deliverables include monthly cost and performance reports and optimization recommendations.
Use Case Example
A growing web application experiencing unpredictable traffic spikes needed auto-scaling across multiple Availability Zones with cost controls. Cloud Ops Group designed a load-balanced, self-healing architecture on AWS that maintained availability during peak demand while optimizing spend during low-traffic periods.
