My main use case for GoAnywhere MFT  is secure and automated file transfer, such as sending reports, backups, or business data between servers or third parties.

A recent example of how I use GoAnywhere MFT  for secure and automated file transfer is that daily reports are automatically transferred from our internal server to an external partner using secure protocols like SFTP without manual intervention.

There are no other types of files or partners involved in my current implementation.

The best features GoAnywhere MFT  offers are strong security that includes encryption and secure protocols, automation of file transfers, scheduling jobs and workflows, and centralized management of file transfers.

The automation and centralized management features in GoAnywhere MFT  make my daily work much easier by reducing manual effort and giving full control from one place. For a real example, earlier we had to manually transfer files such as reports or backups, but now we have automated these tasks. We use GoAnywhere MFT  for securely transferring files between systems and automating workflows. Our company generates a daily report file, so instead of manually sending it, we use GoAnywhere to automate picking the file from a folder, encrypt it for security, and transfer it securely to another server or partner systems using protocols such as SFTP. We can create a workflow that handles the entire file transfer process, picking up the file, encrypting it, and sending it securely without any manual effort. Workflows are integrated with our processes; whenever our boss wants to see reports, they run automatically at 5:30 or 6:00 PM, and all the data is stored in SharePoint  using this workflow.

GoAnywhere MFT  provides plenty of connectors for file transfer protocols such as SFTP and FTS. Additionally, it provides cloud storage connectors such as Amazon S3 , which we use for storage as a database. We have also connected it with other databases such as MySQL  and email services for sending or receiving files via email and SMTP. Overall, it excels at connecting with servers, making file transfer flexible.

As I mentioned earlier, we use Amazon S3  for cloud storage, where we store all the data, and we utilize daily workflows and operations from SharePoint . GoAnywhere MFT  plays a crucial role in our organization every day for our meetings and cron jobs.

We have multiple automations or processes happening within our organization that run on different platforms with different servers and APIs. For instance, we have one project for daily report transfers, another for handling partner file uploads, and another project for backup. Although they are scheduled at different times, they are all event-based. Multiple automations are handled with different projects for different use cases.

We definitely use GoAnywhere MFT's GoFast feature to accelerate data transmission.

Using GoAnywhere MFT's GoFast feature has improved our operations because it breaks files into multiple chunks and transfers them simultaneously instead of sending them in a single stream, allowing for multi-threading. This results in savings on both time and money. It significantly reduces our transfer time compared to normal SFTP, especially when transferring very large files such as backups or bulk data.

The number one thing I would like to see improved in GoAnywhere MFT is the learning curve. It has a bit of a learning curve initially, especially in understanding how to design workflows. Additionally, I think the user interface can feel slightly complex for beginners, so they should add more documentation about the UI and how to onboard or design workflows.

I have been using GoAnywhere MFT for a total of one year, including my time in college and my previous internship. I have been working in my current organization for the past eight months.

I have not had any crashes, downtimes, or performance issues with GoAnywhere MFT. It is highly stable for us because it supports high availability setups such as clustering and load balancing by default, providing consistent performance and minimal downtime.

I find GoAnywhere MFT scalable.

I would rate GoAnywhere MFT's customer service and technical support team an 8 out of 10 because when we raise a support ticket, they respond within five to six hours and resolve our problems. So far, there are no issues with the support.

I did not previously use a different MFT solution. We were completely reliant on manual efforts before switching to GoAnywhere MFT. Now we are consistent with it because it provides more performance and requires less work, significantly reducing our manual efforts.

We have not used GoAnywhere MFT Agents because of the cost yet, but we are planning to use that in the future. My advice to other organizations considering GoAnywhere MFT is that it is a budget-friendly tool, and if they want to shift from manual efforts, then GoAnywhere MFT is the right choice because it supports multiple automations through its concept of projects. This transition will definitely reduce workload and manual efforts, allowing teams to save time and increase productivity. I would be interested in a solution that centralizes all our processes.
