Feature-Rich but Needs More Standard Fields

    Reviewed on Mar 31, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Frontegg has many advanced features already implemented, which helps us move fast without having to build them ourselves. The self-service UI is easy to integrate into our products and was particularly helpful during the initial phases of our project. The 'impersonate' feature is also great, as it allows us to debug the app from the perspective of our users. Overall, these features significantly ease the management of our products' authentication.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would have liked to have more 'standard' fields, for example: 'First name', 'Last name'. I didn't enjoy having to resort to metadata. The only way you can add first name and last name to your users is by putting this info in the metadata, which is less ideal. The product itself is good, however as of now I think I would rather recommend BetterAuth, which is open source, has all of the advanced features that Frontegg has, and it lives directly inside your own database (this makes everything so much simpler).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Frontegg to manage authentication, it takes care of the heavy lifting. The advanced features and self-service UI speed up project phases and improve debugging with 'impersonate' feature.

Simplifying Authentication and User Management at Scale

    Reviewed on Mar 29, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Clear, intuitive product with a user-friendly interface that makes it easy to navigate and use. A smooth experience overall with no unnecessary complexity.
What do you dislike about the product?
Works well overall, but in very large organizations (hundreds of accounts and thousands of users), you may occasionally encounter limitations or features that feel better suited for smaller-scale environments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Frontegg solves the complexity of building and maintaining authentication, user management, and access control by providing a ready-made, scalable solution, allowing teams to save development time and focus on their core product instead.

Streamlined IAM with Excellent Developer Focus

    Reviewed on Mar 20, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I use Frontegg for identity and access management and appreciate that it saves a huge amount of development time. It's enterprise-ready and offers a good developer experience. I like that it's easy to use and has good APIs. I enjoy the pre-built UI that's actually usable and the flexibility between 'out-of-the-box' and custom features. The initial setup was very easy, and I'd rate it a 9 out of 10.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not all API is documented - I need to do additional research or contact support. Sometimes errors are not clear. Not super flexible with domain management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Frontegg handles authentication, authorization, multi-tenant setups, webhooks, and portals. It saves significant development time by being enterprise-ready and offers a good developer experience.

Efficient SSO with Exceptional Support, Minor Bugs

    Reviewed on Mar 19, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Frontegg is very basic and provides all the functions I need immediately, especially for the login screen and Google SSO. Their support team is also very helpful, answering every question I had and addressing any technical problems in less than an hour. They were quite supportive in suggesting solutions and understanding the issues underneath. The onboarding flow on the website is really easy, allowing me to implement it in about an hour.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some basics like the URL link or some path that are really difficult to understand where they come from on the website, and it took us hours to figure it out. Also, in the backend, there's no documentation about error handling and tags, forcing me to use other tools like claude code for debugging. The initial setup was partly easy, but moving to production was different and had many bugs. We needed advanced features and functions to implement it properly on the web.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Frontegg for basic SSO login and user control. I like its immediate functionality for login screens and Google SSO.

Reliable Authentication Platform with Excellent Support

    Reviewed on Mar 16, 2026
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
One of the best things about Frontegg is its ease of use. Implementing it in our Angular and .NET applications was very smooth, and we were also able to integrate it successfully into one of our Blazor applications.

The customer portal has been extremely useful. Whenever I create a support ticket, the response time is excellent and the support team always provides well-considered and helpful responses.

I often rely on the customer portal whenever we encounter issues or identify bugs on the Frontegg dashboard. The team is very efficient in investigating and resolving problems, which makes the overall experience very positive.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't experienced any downtime so far. Overall, I'm very happy with the product and the level of support provided after implementation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Frontegg helps us handle authentication, user management, and tenant management without having to build and maintain these features ourselves. Instead of spending time developing complex identity and security functionality, we can focus more on our core product.

It also provides useful built-in features like user roles, permissions, and a self-service customer portal, which improves the experience for both our team and our customers. Overall, it has significantly reduced development time and simplified managing users across our applications.
Frontegg helped us easily implement MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication) in our applications, allowing us to meet our security requirements without building the functionality from scratch.
