Overview
Apache Jena Fuseki is one of the popular open-source RDF graph databases (triplestores). It is an essential component of a reliable, low-cost Knowledge Graph infrastructure. Fuseki complies with the SPARQL 1.1 specification and supports SPARQL query and update as well as SPARQL Protocol and Graph Store Protocol.
Fuseki has a low footprint yet great scalability which makes it suitable as a backend for any kind of RDF datasets, from personal dataspaces to moderately-sized enterprise Knowledge Graphs. We have packaged it as a Docker container-based product that can be installed into your AWS infrastructure with a few clicks of a button. The best part: it's free!
Notes:
- this version of Fuseki does not include the user interface, only HTTP APIs
- authentication is not supported. Do not share the URL of your Fuseki instance, or better yet use a Security Group to restrict access to it.
- HTTPS protocol is not supported
- custom domain names are not supported
- the data is persisted as a Docker volume on the EC2 instance
- Fuseki versions 4.3.2 and above are not vulnerable to the Log4Shell CVE

Container image
Containers are lightweight, portable execution environments that wrap server application software in a filesystem that includes everything it needs to run. Container applications run on supported container runtimes and orchestration services, such as Amazon Elastic Container Service (Amazon ECS) or Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS). Both eliminate the need for you to install and operate your own container orchestration software by managing and scheduling containers on a scalable cluster of virtual machines.
