AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
This listing is free to use and carries no software charge. Pricing is organized around a single dimension, EC2 Dimensions, measured in units. There are no tiers, plans, or add-on charges to compare. Because the product itself is offered at no cost, your only potential expenses come from the underlying AWS infrastructure you choose to run. The tool helps you assess cloud costs and identify ways to reduce them. You pay nothing for the advisor itself under this Marketplace listing.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the EC2 Dimensions unit actually measure for this free advisor?
The EC2 Dimensions unit maps to the AWS EC2 resources you run the advisor on. The advisor software carries no charge. The unit reflects the compute footprint you select, so any cost comes from AWS infrastructure, not the tool itself.
Am I charged anything if I stop or pause the EC2 instance running the advisor?
The advisor itself is free, so no software fee applies whether the instance runs or stops. Powered-off instances stop accruing compute charges from AWS. Stopped instances may still incur AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but the tool adds nothing on top.
What does the tool do once running, and does using its features add any charges?
The advisor assesses cloud costs and recommends ways to reduce them. Running its cost assessment and recommendation features adds no software charge under this listing. Your only expenses come from the AWS compute and storage you choose to run it on.
