Apache Cassandra is a highly scalable and distributed database that facilitates storing and managing high-velocity structured data across multiple commodity servers without a single point of failure. Cassandra's offering is packed with components such as Python, Threft, and so on. It is scalable, fault-tolerant, and consistent. It is a column-oriented database. Cassandra accommodates all possible data formats including structured, semi-structured, and unstructured. Fine-tuned the database for production load.

Dimensions summary
You pay by the hour for the EC2 instance type you run. All ten dimensions bill the same software running on Windows Server 2019, with 24/7 support included. Your rate scales with instance size and family. The t2 options (small, large, medium) are burstable general-purpose sizes. The m4 options (large, xlarge, 2xlarge, 4xlarge) are general-purpose sizes with more memory. The c4 options (large, xlarge, 2xlarge) are compute-optimized sizes. Larger instances cost more per hour. You are charged only for the hours each instance runs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
You pay per instance-hour for a Windows Server 2019 image with Apache Cassandra pre-installed, along with Python and Thrift. The vendor updates the software to address security issues and includes 24/7 support. You launch the image and connect via RDP to start using it right away.
Hourly software charges apply only while the instance runs. A fully stopped instance stops accruing the hourly software fee. You may still pay separate AWS charges for attached storage or an allocated Elastic IP while the instance is stopped. Those AWS infrastructure costs are billed independently by AWS.
Each dimension bills the same software on a different EC2 instance type. The t2 sizes are burstable general-purpose. The m4 sizes are general-purpose with more memory for larger data sets.
