Improved attack path visibility has prioritized real risks but still needs better automation
What is our primary use case?
Mesh Security Platform serves as a visibility and risk prioritization layer for our SOC and security engineering team. It functions as a CMDR and a comprehensive security product that focuses on mapping relationships between asset and account exposure rather than just alerting.
I use Mesh Security Platform to map and expose assets back to the account identity and permission that make them reachable. For example, when a cloud VM or SaaS is shown as internet-facing with image-style visibility, it can show which admin account, service principal, or inherited policy allows access so the team can fix that exposure instead of just closing one alert.
Mesh Security Platform gives the security team a single relationship view across assets, identity, and exposure, allowing us to spot the real attack path rather than just isolated alerts. This makes it especially useful to prioritize and remediate when a weak control is combined with an over-privileged account and exposed workload.
What is most valuable?
Mesh Security Platform's best features include its unified concept graph, its agentless deployment, and the attack path visibility across identity.
Mesh Security Platform's agenda list feature is a task and issue tracking view that helps the team keep track of what needs investigation, review, and remediation next in a mesh-style security workflow. It is most useful to highlight and prioritize a working list that contains the highest risk assets and identities for analysis, so we know where to focus first.
For example regarding the features, if the platform detects a public-facing server linked to an over-privileged service account, that item can be placed on the agenda list so the team can validate ownership, reduce the privilege, and close the exposure in an ad hoc manner.
Mesh Security Platform positively impacts our organization by improving visibility, reducing tool silos, and helping the team respond faster to real attack paths. The biggest gains are usually better security posture, lower operational friction, and faster prioritization of the issues that matter more. For the SOC and security engineering team, this means more context, fewer blind spots, and quicker handoff from detection to fix.
What needs improvement?
Mesh Security Platform can be improved by making it easier to act on, not just easier to view. The strongest improvement would be better automation, clear prioritization, and tighter integration with tools we already use.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been using Mesh Security Platform for almost eight months.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
Mesh Security Platform is stable.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
The scalability of Mesh Security Platform is very good.
How are customer service and support?
Customer support for Mesh Security Platform is good.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have used multiple tool solutions in the EDR, XDR , and AV categories. I am not switching because I am part of the project team, and we have deployed multiple teams with multiple clients. As I was part of that team, I always perform some activity, which is why I was part of this effort.
How was the initial setup?
Before choosing Mesh Security Platform, we evaluated Microsoft Defender because it is from Microsoft, and we are using Microsoft machines, making it easier to integrate.
What about the implementation team?
We did not purchase Mesh Security Platform through the AWS Marketplace .
What was our ROI?
I cannot verify the ROI for Mesh Security Platform from the available sources, but the vendor states that reporting and remediation activities reduce financial exposure. It is good for risk reduction.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I am not aware of the pricing, setup cost, and licensing because the back-end procurement team handles this aspect, so I do not have an idea about it.
Which other solutions did I evaluate?
I would prefer to see better detection quality in edge cases, especially when threats are delivered through complex phishing and cloud sharing paths.
What other advice do I have?
Mesh Security Platform appears solid with integration of visibility and attack path context, but its real-world payoff still depends on how an organization operationalizes those insights through workflow and remediation. For small accounts, Mesh Security Platform is viable. I would rate Mesh Security Platform overall as a seven on a scale of one to ten.
