An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Initial release: Plausible Analytics CE v3.2.0 with ClickHouse 24.12, PostgreSQL 16, Caddy 2.11.1 for automatic HTTPS, Docker 29.2.1. Includes helper scripts for easy configuration.

Usage instructions
After launch, SSH: ssh ubuntu@<public-ip>
Run 'plausible-config' to set your domain and configure HTTPS with automatic Let's Encrypt certificates.
Visit https://your-domain to create your admin account.
HTTPS is required for production use - without it, browsers block the tracking script on HTTPS websites.
Ports required: 22 (SSH), 80 (HTTP), 443 (HTTPS)
Minimum instance: t3a.small (2GB RAM). Nano/micro instances do not have enough memory.
Helper commands: plausible-status, plausible-config, plausible-update
