You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions

Launch an EC2 instance using this AMI.

Allocate and attach an Elastic IP address.

Configure your domain DNS to point to the server IP.

Connect to the server using SSH.

Update the GitLab External URL with your custom domain:
sudo nano /etc/gitlab/gitlab.rb

Modify the following line:
external_url 'https://your-domain.com '

Save the file and apply changes:
sudo gitlab-ctl reconfigure

Open ports 22, 80, and 443 in the EC2 Security Group.

Access GitLab in your browser using your configured domain.

Retrieve the initial root password:
sudo cat /etc/gitlab/initial_root_password

Log in with username:
root

Change the root password after first login for security purposes.

Check GitLab services
sudo gitlab-ctl status
Restart all services
sudo gitlab-ctl restart
Check logs
sudo gitlab-ctl tail
Check disk space
df -h
Reconfigure (fix config issues)
