Overview
For over 15 years, SchoolDigger.com has provided millions of parents with essential metrics about schools and school performance. Nationwide performance data for schools has been incredibly difficult to collect - each state publishes data in different ways, from Excel spreadsheets to huge SAS files to massive PDFs to difficult-to-navigate websites. The folks at SchoolDigger continuously monitor and collect this data and present it as one comprehensive data set, making it a no-brainer for companies to use for nationwide cases, including analysis, data display, and much more. Key Data includes:
- School directory, including name, address, county, phone number, url, grades served and lat/long for over 120,000 public, charter and private schools.
- District directory, including name, address, grades served and member schools for over 18,000 districts.
- Five years of student metrics, including student body count, ethnicity, pupil/teacher ratios, and free-reduced lunch program percentages.
- Five years of test score proficiencies at the state/district/building/test/subject/grade level, including breakdowns (for example: or example: % below proficient, % proficient, % advanced proficient).
- Five years of SchoolDigger-calculated state-wide rankings, including elementary, middle and high school rankings lists, district ranking lists and city ranking lists.
