How is Vimond VIA Deployed?
Vimond VIA can be deployed in a number of different ways depending on budget and need for data separation.
Entry level solutions are by default on shared infrastructure managed by Vimond, but other managed service options are available, including a dedicated software instance, or even a dedicated infrastructure. Vimond VIA can also be installed in a customer-owned AWS account. Support options and packages are available to suit the different deployment scenarios.

Pricing
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.

Dimensions summary
You pay a recurring base fee license for the Vimond Essentials platform. That base fee includes set allowances for video ingest, egress delivery, and storage. Three usage dimensions handle overage beyond those included bundles. You pay per additional gigabyte of video ingest per month, per additional gigabyte of egress per month, and per additional gigabyte of storage per month. Each usage dimension is billed independently, so your total scales with how much content you upload, deliver, and store. This structure keeps the platform fee fixed while capacity charges rise only as your usage grows.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Ingest measures the video data you upload into the platform each month. Egress measures data delivered to viewers as they stream. Storage measures the video content held on the platform. Each is metered separately per gigabyte, per month, once you pass the allowances included with your base fee.
All three usage charges bill independently and appear together with the base fee. Egress typically dominates for services with large audiences streaming often. Storage grows with your video library size. Ingest rises when you upload new content in bulk. Your mix depends on how much you upload, deliver, and retain.
The base fee covers the managed platform and set data bundles for storage, playout delivery, and ingest. You get the app builder, subscription and monetisation tools, multi-language, and autoplay. Charges per additional gigabyte apply only after you exceed those included bundles.
