Choices span several families: burstable t2, t3, and t3a instances for lighter or variable workloads, and general-purpose m6a, m7a, and m7i instances for steadier demand. Within each family, sizes scale from nano and micro up through multiples like 2xlarge, 4xlarge, 8xlarge, and 12xlarge. Larger sizes carry more CPU and memory, so the hourly rate rises accordingly. You pay only for hours used.

Each hour includes a pre-configured MEVN stack on Windows Server 2022. You get a document database, a backend runtime, a web application framework, and a frontend framework installed and ready. A sample application runs on boot, managed by a process manager. The image is hardened against known vulnerabilities and updated regularly.
The hourly software rate meters running time only. When you stop the instance, the software charge stops accruing. You may still pay underlying AWS fees, such as storage for the attached volume, while the instance is stopped. You pay the software rate only for the hours the instance runs.
Burstable t2, t3, and t3a instances suit lighter or variable workloads that spike occasionally. General-purpose m6a, m7a, and m7i instances suit steadier, continuous demand. The software is identical across all families; only the underlying CPU and memory differ, which changes the hourly rate.
