Improved TCO: Optimize costs and leverage pre-committed cloud spend for mission critical workloads
Unmatched performance with linear scalability: Accommodate demanding, unpredictable workloads with extreme performance and low latency by independently scaling compute and storage
Unparalleled resiliency: Efficiently place data across multi-availability zones without unnecessary replication or data copies
AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.

This listing bills through a contract based on raw storage capacity. You commit to a set amount of raw terabytes (TB), and price scales with that capacity. Two units are available. The PowerFlex for Public Cloud unit prices software-defined block storage by raw TB capacity. The APEX Block Storage unit also prices by raw TB capacity. Both dimensions charge for raw provisioned capacity rather than usable space or usage over time. You select the raw TB quantity you need, and the total reflects the capacity committed.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one raw TB unit measure — usable space or provisioned capacity?
Both units price by raw TB capacity, meaning the total physical capacity provisioned. This is the underlying disk capacity before data reduction, replication overhead, or formatting. It is not the usable space you see after those factors. You pay for the raw terabytes committed, regardless of how much you actually fill.
Does my cost change based on how much data I actually store during the term?
No. Both units bill on committed raw TB capacity, not on data written or usage over time. Your cost reflects the capacity quantity you select at purchase. Storing less than the committed capacity does not lower the charge. To change capacity, you adjust the committed raw TB quantity.
What workloads does the PowerFlex for Public Cloud unit support versus APEX Block Storage?
The PowerFlex for Public Cloud unit provides software-defined block storage suited to enterprise databases, virtualized workloads, and containerized applications. The APEX Block Storage unit also prices block storage by raw TB capacity. Both charge for raw provisioned capacity. Contact the vendor to confirm which unit fits your specific deployment.
