    Dimensions summary

This listing has one pricing dimension, billed under a contract measured by users. You buy the Universal DDI Product Suite as a committed quantity for your contract term. Infoblox uses token-based licensing, so a shared pool of capacity enables DNS, DHCP, IP address management, asset visibility, and ecosystem integrations. Usage draws from that pool, and you add capacity by increasing your quantity rather than buying separate items. A True Forward program lets you exceed capacity without back charges, so you pay only for what you keep going forward. Pricing scales with the user count you commit to.

    Top-of-mind questions for buyers

Pricing is measured by users, but Infoblox licenses the suite through a token pool rather than fixed per-feature counts. Tokens draw from that pool as you deploy DNS, DHCP, IP address management, asset visibility, and ecosystem integrations. Infoblox tracks usage automatically and compares it to your committed quantity. Contact the vendor to confirm how your user count maps to tokens.
Infoblox measures rolling usage against your purchased amount automatically. The True Forward program lets you exceed capacity without penalties or back charges for past overages. You pay only for the additional capacity you choose to keep going forward. This lets teams scale first and align licensing later.
You add capacity by increasing your committed quantity rather than buying separate products or SKUs. The shared token pool supports new sites, servers, services, and ecosystem integrations under the same contract. This lets you expand without renegotiating your agreement or purchasing individual items for each capability.

Centralized DNS security, DHCP, and IP management have simplified deployment and daily operations

    Reviewed on Jan 06, 2026
Review from a verified AWS customer

How has it helped my organization?

For troubleshooting, we can handle those points as we have the networking knowledge needed. There was no issue while we deployed all Infoblox DDI solutions.

    What is most valuable?

Infoblox DDI is capable of fulfilling customer requirements from a DNS security, DHCP, and IPAM perspective.

From a DNS perspective, Infoblox DDI is a good solution for DNS security and DNS resolution.

Infoblox DDI provides automation through API, which allows us to fetch details from Infoblox DDI, giving us many ways to accomplish automation.

For stability of Infoblox DDI, I would rate it eight out of ten. Infoblox DDI is a stable solution.

    What needs improvement?

Infoblox DDI could be slightly improved in terms of scalability.

I am not able to comment on a more modernized or refreshed dashboard as I have not faced any issues so far. I am also not aware about the pricing part.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with Infoblox DDI for 2.5 years and implementing it for that same period.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

If I face any challenges deploying Infoblox DDI or any issues after deployment, I am able to receive support from Infoblox TAC, which is a positive aspect. There are no issues from Infoblox DDI.

I am not seeing any issues while deploying because the deployment process is very easy and simple with straightforward steps.

What other advice do I have?

On the maintenance side, we only need to manage the hardware expiry date. Infoblox DDI provides hardware devices on time and also sends reminders for expiry.

I cannot comment on health monitoring. I would rate this review a ten out of ten.

    Reliable and centralized DNS/DHCP/IPAM platform

    Reviewed on Sep 18, 2025
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Infoblox NIOS provides a robust, centralized platform for managing DNS, DHCP, and IP address space. Its intuitive interface, built-in security features, and automated workflows reduce manual effort and errors. The reporting and visibility make it easy to track IP utilization and troubleshoot issues quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial setup and configuration can be complex, and the learning curve for new administrators is steep. Licensing costs can also be high for smaller organizations. Some updates require planned downtime, which may impact critical services if not scheduled properly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
nfoblox NIOS has centralized and automated our DNS, DHCP, and IP address management (DDI) services. By eliminating manual spreadsheets and disparate tools, it gives us a single source of truth for all network IP resources. This has reduced configuration errors, improved uptime, strengthened security against DNS-based attacks, and saved significant administrative time when provisioning new devices or troubleshooting issues.

Integrating dynamic IPs with centralized management boosts network security and efficiency

    Reviewed on Feb 26, 2025
    Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

We are working with InfoBlox DDI for our customers, as we find it very useful in securing at the base level. Some of our customers use it for DHCP, some for IP address management, and some for integrating DDI to utilize fewer resources with one platform.

    What is most valuable?

The DDI solution is valuable for its ability to integrate DHCP, DNS security, and IP address management, along with threat intelligence into one platform. This consolidation allows for more efficient use of resources and enhances network security, both internally and externally. Additionally, InfoBlox DDI can be implemented as a cloud, on-premises, or a combination, offering flexibility to customers.

    What needs improvement?

In terms of improvement, the commercial pricing could be reduced to attract more small customers. Currently, it is cost-effective mainly for larger enterprises.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with InfoBlox DDI for four years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The solution is quite stable. Once implemented, there are no significant interruptions or issues with customer environments.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

InfoBlox DDI is very scalable, offering both physical and virtual box solutions. This allows customers to implement it in a virtual environment if they choose not to use physical boxes, accommodating user bases from eight thousand to fifteen thousand or more.

How are customer service and support?

The customer service and support are fantastic. I rate it nine out of ten.

    How was the initial setup?

The initial setup can be complex, but training provided to customers simplifies the process, making it easier for them to operate the solution after implementation.

    What about the implementation team?

We provide training to customers before implementation to ensure they properly understand and can operate InfoBlox DDI effectively.

    What was our ROI?

Integrating DDI offers more efficient return on investment compared to implementing DHCP, DNS security, and IP address management separately.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

InfoBlox DDI is a premium product and is relatively expensive compared to other solutions in the market. However, this expense is justified as it combines advanced technology and security in one package.

What other advice do I have?

For prospective customers, I recommend considering the complete DDI solution rather than just DNS security. Moving from static IPs to dynamic IPs with DDI can prevent cybersecurity risks.

I rate the overall solution nine out of ten.

Proactively secures DNS by blocking malicious URLs and triggers necessary alerts

    Reviewed on Dec 20, 2024
    Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

For how long have I used the solution?

I have experience with Infoblox DDI for around five to six months.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Infoblox encounters some glitches, making it not entirely super stable. These bugs and glitches occur from time to time and imply there is room for improvement.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

How are customer service and support?

Customer service and support are excellent. I would rate it ten out of ten.

    How was the initial setup?

Two persons are usually enough for deployment. After installation, further maintenance or support might be required, though I haven't deployed a DNS system personally.

    What was our ROI?

Infoblox offers an ROI that saves time and money. I rate the ROI as eight because it provides good returns on investment in terms of operational efficiency.

What other advice do I have?
