AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for this hardened Red Hat 8.10 Minimal image, with no long-term contract. Each pricing dimension maps to a specific AWS EC2 instance type, such as t2.small, m5.large, or p4d.24xlarge. Your rate depends on the instance you choose, not on separate feature tiers. Larger instances with more CPU, memory, GPU, or storage carry higher hourly rates. General purpose, compute optimized, memory optimized, storage optimized, and GPU or inference families are all represented. The software cost applies on top of standard AWS infrastructure charges for the instance you run.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly unit cover for this hardened image?
Each hourly unit covers one running EC2 instance of the type you select, such as t2.small or m5.large. You pay the software rate for every hour that instance runs. Each instance you launch is billed separately by its own instance-type rate.
Am I charged the software rate when my instance is stopped?
The software rate meters running instance-hours. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. You may still owe standard AWS charges for attached storage while the instance is stopped, but the hardened image software bills only for time the instance actually runs.
Does this price include the AWS infrastructure cost for the instance?
No. The hourly rate shown is the software charge for the hardened Red Hat 8.10 Minimal image only. AWS bills the underlying EC2 instance, storage, and data transfer separately. Both charges appear on your AWS bill and combine into your total hourly cost.
