    Dimensions summary

AlmaLinux OS 8 (arm64) carries no software charge. The operating system itself is free of charge across every deployment option. Pricing here reflects only the hourly rate of the AWS EC2 instance you choose to run it on. Each dimension maps to a specific Arm-based (Graviton) instance type, billed per hour. You pick the instance family and size that fit your workload — general purpose, compute, memory, storage, or accelerated options. Larger sizes within a family cost more per hour. You pay only for the hours your instance runs.

    Top-of-mind questions for buyers

Each dimension maps to a specific Arm-based (Graviton) EC2 instance type running AlmaLinux OS 8. The operating system carries no software charge. The hourly rate reflects the EC2 compute cost for that instance size only. You pick the family and size that fit your workload.
Hourly charges accrue only while an instance runs. Stopped or powered-off instances do not accrue compute charges. You may still pay underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes. The AlmaLinux OS software itself is free of charge regardless of running time.
The operating system is free across every deployment channel, so no software license fee applies. Community support is free through forums, chat, and the wiki. Some third-party providers offer paid enterprise-grade support for AlmaLinux workloads. Those support contracts are separate and not billed through this listing.
