     Info
    Sold by: ProvenCloud
    Deployed on AWS
This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for a secure, ready-to-use ERPNext 16.52.1 business server with Indian GST. Run accounting, invoicing, inventory, purchasing and CRM with GST invoices, GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and HSN reports built in, with unique passwords for every instance.

    Overview

ERPNext is a widely used open source ERP system. It brings accounting, invoicing, inventory, buying, selling, CRM, projects and manufacturing together in one web application, so a growing business can replace spreadsheets and separate tools with one system. With the India Compliance app it also handles Indian GST from invoice to return. This image gives you a ready ERPNext server for an Indian business in minutes.

What is included: ERPNext 16.52.1 on Frappe 16.54.0 with India Compliance 16.11.0 on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, MariaDB 10.11, Redis, nginx serving the site over HTTPS, and Webmin 2.670 for server administration. GST tax templates, GSTIN validation, e-invoice and e-way bill settings, and 18,687 HSN and SAC codes are installed. GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and HSN summary reports were tested against real submitted invoices. Security is on by default: no password ships in the image. On first boot every instance creates its own Administrator, database and Webmin passwords, HTTPS certificate and server keys. MariaDB and Webmin listen only on the server itself, and SSH accepts key-based login only. Filing with the GST portal, e-invoice and e-way bill APIs needs your own eligible credentials. Payroll (HRMS) is not installed.

What you get on top of the free software: a pre-built and tested image that is ready in minutes, a unique security setup for every server, simple scripts for changing passwords and taking backups, regular image updates, and help by email whenever you need it. ERPNext and India Compliance are open source software licensed under GPL-3.0. ERPNext is a trademark of its respective owner. This image is an independent build by ProvenCloud.

    Highlights

    • GST ready: India Compliance 16.11 adds GST invoices with CGST, SGST and IGST, GSTIN checks, 18,000+ HSN and SAC codes, GSTR-1, GSTR-3B and HSN summary reports. India, INR and the Asia/Kolkata time zone are preselected.
    • Your own clean company: no sample company, customers or invoices ship in the image. The first sign-in opens the setup wizard so you create your own company, chart of accounts and GST details.
    • Secure by default: HTTPS from the first boot, a random Administrator password created for every instance, the database and Webmin panel kept off the internet, and SSH with keys only.

    Dimensions summary

You pay an hourly software charge based on the EC2 instance type you launch. Each dimension maps to one instance size, billed per hour. Pricing scales with instance capacity: smaller sizes cost less per hour, and larger ones cost more. You choose across many instance families, including general-purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, storage-optimized, and accelerated-compute options. This hourly software charge sits on top of your own EC2 and storage costs, which AWS bills separately. A 5-day free trial applies before charges begin. No upfront commitment or separate contract is required.

    Top-of-mind questions for buyers

Each unit is one running EC2 instance of the chosen type, billed per hour. The software stack runs on a single machine image. The vendor suggests a t3.xlarge instance for this product. You pick any listed instance family and size to match your capacity needs.
The hourly software charge meters running time only. A stopped instance does not accrue the software fee. AWS may still bill for the attached storage volume, which is separate from this product's charge. The software fee resumes when you start the instance again.
No. The hourly software charge is separate from your own EC2 compute and storage costs, which AWS bills directly. The image uses a 40 GiB gp3 root volume by default. Both charges appear on your usual AWS bill. No separate contract or license key is required.

    Vendor refund policy

Software charges are billed hourly, only while your instance runs. You can stop charges at any time by terminating the instance or cancelling your subscription. Charges already incurred are not refundable.

    Amazon Machine Image (AMI)

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

    Usage instructions

Once the instance is running, wait for the instance health checks to pass, then allow up to 15 minutes for the first-boot setup to finish. Connect over SSH with your key pair: ssh -i /path/to/key.pem ubuntu@<instance-public-ip>, then run sudo pc-credentials show to see the random passwords created for this instance. They are not your instance ID, and no two instances share them.

Open https://<instance-public-ip>/ in your browser and accept the one-time warning for the server's self-signed certificate. Sign in with Administrator as username and the password labelled erpnext. The setup wizard opens on the first sign-in: create your own company and accounts there. India, INR and the Asia/Kolkata time zone are already selected. Add your GSTIN and GST settings under GST Settings after the wizard.

Required inbound ports: 22 (SSH), 80 and 443 (the application; port 80 redirects to HTTPS). For security, allow port 22 only from your own IP address. Keep every other port closed. Port 9000 is used inside the server only and must stay closed.

Change your passwords after the first sign-in: connect over SSH and run sudo bash /home/ubuntu/iscripts/pass_erpnext.sh for the Administrator or pass_webmin.sh for Webmin, from the same folder. To check the server, run sudo systemctl is-active nginx mariadb supervisor webmin.

Webmin is not open to the internet. To use it, keep this SSH tunnel open on your own computer: ssh -i /path/to/key.pem -N -L 18000:127.0.0.1:8000 ubuntu@<instance-public-ip>, then open http://localhost:18000/  and sign in with admin as username and the password labelled webmin.

Live filing with the GST portal, e-invoice and e-way bill services needs your own eligible API credentials, set in GST Settings.

To back up the application on the same server, run sudo pc-backup create /var/backups/application.tar.gz and copy the file to encrypted storage outside the instance, because it contains passwords. To restore it, run sudo pc-backup restore /var/backups/application.tar.gz --confirm-restore. The backup covers the ERPNext site files, settings and database.

After a stop and start the instance gets a new public IP unless you attach an Elastic IP; your data and passwords are kept. For production, point your own domain at the instance and replace the self-signed certificate with a trusted one.
