You pay by the hour for the compute-optimized EC2 instance you run StreamHub on. Each dimension maps to one specific instance type, so pricing scales with the size and generation of the machine you pick. Larger instances (higher xlarge counts) carry higher hourly rates. The listing spans several instance families, including C5, C5a, C5ad, C5d, C6a, C6i, C6id, C7a, and C7i options. All dimensions deliver the same 16-channel StreamHub software; you choose the hardware size that fits your workload. There is no upfront commitment — billing tracks the hours each instance runs.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly unit cover, and how many video streams can I run on it?
Each hourly unit is one running EC2 instance of the type you select. That single instance runs the 16-channel StreamHub software, receiving up to 16 concurrent SST streams from mobile transmitters, encoders, or IP sources. You pick the instance size; the 16-channel capacity stays the same across all types.
Am I charged when the StreamHub instance is stopped or powered off?
The hourly software charge meters running time only. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. You may still pay underlying AWS storage fees for the attached disk while the instance is stopped. Charges resume when you start the instance again.
Is this pay-as-you-go, or do I commit to a term upfront?
This is pay-as-you-go. You are billed by the hour for each running instance, with no upfront commitment or fixed term. Cost tracks the hours your chosen instance actually runs. This billing suits variable or event-based production workloads where usage rises and falls.
