Activity Monitoring - US and International Auto Manufacturing

Daily foot traffic across over 50 individual locations representing dozens of auto manufacturing brands across both domestic and international regions. Sourced from 2019 through present and updated recurrently, these data points are aggregated from billions of anonymous cell phone “pings” that have been culled and normalized specifically for these locations. Orbital Insight's GO platform equips customers with this and other AI/ML resources to create actionable signals for fundamental/quantitative analyses.

In this particular use case, we can see workplace activity trends reflecting the ongoing global COVID-19 crisis. We gain ground truth into how behavior at specific workplaces, across different brands, and across multiple domestic/international regions.

This dataset explores foot traffic at 50 auto manufacturing sites since 2019 and updating to the present time.

• It covers the number of device counts at each property per day and has been through extensive normalization to only include (anonymized) IDs that have been online for a minimum number of days, and spent a minimum amount of time in that area for each given day. This reduces the number of errant, misleading data points and results in a more confident, informative time series.
• We also conduct advanced near real-time predictions to reduce latency of confident results to 1-4 days.
• We also provide an interactive analytic "notebook" template for users to quickly conduct a standardized analysis, as well as leverage to derive insights in any other analytic forum or workspace.

This data will be updated by Orbital Insight on a regular cadence so that users can pull the most recent updated versions when needed.
