This product has charges associated with it for providing dedicated seller support and advanced OS hardening by Blume in line with ANSSI compliance. The ANSSI High Level Oracle Linux 9 AMI delivers a compliance-ready, security-hardened operating system built for stability and assurance in production environments.
This is a repackaged software product wherein additional charges apply for dedicated seller support and advanced operating system hardening by Blume.
Our AMIs are specifically hardened to meet ANSSI compliance at the level you select - whether High Level or Minimal Level. The High Level configuration provides maximum security reinforcement for production environments handling sensitive workloads, while the Minimal Level configuration balances essential compliance requirements with performance flexibility.
The Agence Nationale de la Securite des Systemes dInformation ANSSI is the French National Cybersecurity Agency, responsible for defining and maintaining strict guidelines for securing information systems. Its recommended hardening guidelines establish a baseline of security controls designed to minimize vulnerabilities and enforce system integrity.
Minimal Level hardening applies a core set of baseline controls that improve operating system security while maintaining flexibility and compatibility across a wide range of environments.
High Level hardening applies the most stringent set of controls, focusing on maximum resilience and compliance for environments where security assurance is critical.
Achieving ANSSI compliance matters because it ensures that your operating system is configured against recognized security baselines, reducing vulnerabilities, strengthening resilience against attacks, and meeting regulatory or industry mandated governance standards. With Blumes hardening, you can trust that your OS is built to align with strict compliance expectations from the start.
Finally, our operating systems are not only compliance ready but are also consistently updated, ensuring that the latest security patches are applied in a timely manner to maintain protection and reliability in production environments.

Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for this hardened Oracle Linux 9 image, billed through usage. Each pricing line matches one Amazon EC2 instance type, so your rate depends on the instance you launch. Smaller instances like t3.micro or m5.large carry a lower hourly rate, while larger instances such as metal and multi-terabyte types carry higher rates. The software hourly charge applies on top of standard AWS infrastructure costs. You scale by choosing the instance size that fits your workload; there are no tiers or commitments to select beyond the instance you run.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does the hourly software charge cover, and what stays separate?
The charge covers the Oracle Linux 9 image hardened to ANSSI BP-028 High Level controls, plus seller support from Blume. It does not cover your workload configuration, identity, networking, application security, or monitoring. You stay responsible for those. Standard AWS infrastructure costs are billed separately on the same invoice.
Am I charged the software rate when an instance is stopped?
The software rate meters running instance-hours. A stopped instance does not accrue the hourly software charge. You may still pay standard AWS storage fees for the attached volume while the instance is off. Charges resume once you start the instance again.
Does the hourly rate change if I resize to a larger instance type?
Yes. Each pricing line maps to one EC2 instance type, and the rate follows the instance you run. Resizing to a larger type applies that type's hourly rate going forward. There is no tier upgrade step; the rate simply matches whatever instance is active.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
We recommend scoping your launched EC2 instance to only your internal network and restricting access to your own IP address for maximum security.
How to Connect to Your Oracle Linux 9 Instance Using SSH:
Locate your key pair: Ensure you have the .pem key pair file selected when launching the instance. Save it securely on your local machine.
Set permissions: Update the file permissions on the key file so it is not publicly viewable. Example: chmod 400 your-key.pem
Find the public DNS or IP: In the AWS Management Console, open the EC2 Dashboard and locate the Public DNS (IPv4) or Public IP of your instance.
Connect with SSH: From your terminal, run the following command, replacing your-key.pem with your key file and <public-dns> with your instance details: ssh -i your-key.pem ec2-user@<public-dns>
Accept the fingerprint: When prompted, confirm the fingerprint to establish the first-time connection.
You are now connected to your Oracle Linux 9 instance via SSH.
