Apache NiFi on AWS - Self-Hosted DevOps Platform with Websoft9 Console
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour based on the EC2 instance type you run. Pricing is usage-based, so you are billed only for the hours each instance runs. The dimensions are not feature tiers. Each one maps to a specific AWS instance size across families like general purpose (t2, t3, m4, m5, m5d), compute-optimized (c4, c5, c5d, c6a), memory-optimized (r4, r5, r5d, x1, x1e, z1d), storage-optimized (d2, h1, i3), and GPU or FPGA types (g3, p2, p3, f1). Larger instances carry higher hourly rates. The software runs the same regardless of which instance you choose.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What exactly am I paying for with each hourly instance type?
You pay for the software license plus the AWS EC2 instance it runs on, billed per hour. Each dimension matches one EC2 size, such as a specific count of CPU cores and memory. You pick the instance that fits your Apache NiFi workload and data flow needs.
Am I charged when the EC2 instance is stopped or powered off?
Hourly software charges accrue only while the instance runs. A fully stopped instance does not accrue software charges. Note that AWS may still bill underlying storage fees for a stopped instance's attached volumes. The license meters running hours only.
Does the Apache NiFi software work the same across every instance type?
Yes. The software is installed and managed through the Websoft9 Console regardless of which instance you choose. Larger instances give more compute and memory for heavier data flows. The instance type affects performance and hourly cost, not which features you receive.
