BPMN support is very good
What do you like best about the product?
Been working with Camunda for a bit now and honestly, it’s pretty solid. The BPMN support is spot on, and it’s great being able to model processes clearly without needing loads of custom code. Integration’s a breeze too – hooks into REST, Kafka, you name it. The Cockpit’s also handy for keeping an eye on what’s going on under the hood. Plus, being open-source means you’re not locked in, and the community’s decent if you get stuck.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing that’s been a bit of a pain with Camunda is the learning curve – especially if you’re new to BPMN or not from a business process background. Took a bit of time to get my head around how everything fits together, and the docs can be a bit dry in places. Once you’re over that hump it’s fine, but yeah, not the smoothest start.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Camunda helped us streamline and centralise our workflow automation without needing to cobble together multiple tools. Before, we were looking at using separate systems for orchestration, task handling, and decision logic – Camunda basically let us do all that in one place. Saved us from a lot of integration headaches and kept things way more maintainable.

What do you like best about the product?
Camunda as always provides a very well thought product, which enables you introducing BPM on an enterprise level. Even more with the scalability options of C8.
What do you dislike about the product?
The breaking changes still happening in C8 releases scares some customers and first movers which create rumors. The (needed) architectural changes between C7 and C8 leads often to discussions that stops on an effort and migration costs and risk level, where we basically have to 'accept' and understand that a migration is 'almost' infeasible.
