Preparing for ISO 27001 involved a lot of documentation, tracking, and coordination across different areas of the organization. Akitra helped us organize the process and keep everything in one place. We were able to manage policies, track controls, assign tasks, and collect the required evidence without relying heavily on spreadsheets or manual follow-ups. The platform also helped us identify pending items and stay on top of important deadlines. Having a centralized view of our progress made it easier for both the security team and leadership to understand where we stood. Overall, Akitra reduced the amount of manual work involved in the preparation process and helped us stay more organized and confident going into the ISO 27001.

What do you like best about the product?

What stood out to us most about Akitra for SOC 2 was how much easier it made the overall process to manage. SOC 2 can involve a lot of manual work, especially when it comes to tracking controls, collecting evidence, and keeping up with deadlines. Akitra helped bring all of that into one place and gave us better visibility into what needed to be done. The alerts and automated tracking were particularly helpful in making sure we didn’t miss important tasks or evidence requests. We also found the dashboards useful for getting a quick view of our overall compliance status and identifying areas that needed attention. Overall, Akitra helped us stay more organized and prepared throughout the audit process. The support team was also responsive and easy to work with whenever we needed help or had questions.

Before using Akitra, keeping track of SOC 2 requirements, evidence, and deadlines involved a lot of manual work. Akitra helped us bring everything into one place and made the process much easier to manage. We could track controls, assign tasks, collect evidence, and see our progress without relying heavily on spreadsheets or constant follow-ups. The reminders and automated workflows helped us stay on top of pending items, while the dashboards gave us a clear view of where we stood. Overall, it saved us time, reduced the manual effort involved in audit preparation, and made it easier for our team to stay organized and prepared throughout the SOC 2 process.

What do you like best about the product?

You can actually see and download for yourself the evidence that is collected automatically. Every integration had well-detailed documentation or step-by-step processes on what needed to be connected and what IAM roles were necessary. When we encountered in issue with the Trust Center, we raised the concern to the Akitra team and they implemented a fix for it in a respectable turnaround time. The founder is always on top of scheduling calls when it comes to discussing new security frameworks or determining which auditing firm would be involved, and the team lead on the customer support double-checks the submitted evidence and policy docs to ensure they match the effective controls.

What do you dislike about the product?

The strong push for a weekly cadence of meetings during the evidence collection and control implementation / setup was initially met with hesitation, but it ended up helping us stay on target for the evidence gathering. The integration configuration, while well documented, required a lot of manual steps and clicks in the respective platforms, and could likely be improved by developing guides using CLI and MCP / API-based programmatic approaches, for example a series of cli commands that could be used to generate the specific service accounts and IAM principals required.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Enterprise contracts require security compliance with frameworks like SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001, and Akitra has a platform that allows you to map the controls to manual/automated evidence collection and policies, while keeping key stake holders aware via notifications of pending tasks or controls that may be at risk.

What do you like best about the product?

Two things stood out to me. First, and this is what made the real difference, the support team was with me at every step. Led by Mayank, they were dedicated, they clearly knew the material inside and out, and they were quick to respond whenever I had a question. We meet weekly and the meetings have been really efficient. We get down to the business and wrap up in 5-10 minutes most of the time. Defenitiely the kind of meeting I enjoy. Second, the platform itself is genuinely easy to use. I always knew where I was in the process and what was coming next, so nothing felt like a black box.

What do you dislike about the product?

I think this is more of a suggestion as opposed to some downside, since the support was able to handle this for me manually: on the second year, it would be helpful to easily see the same evidence collected from the first year, along with some suggestions, as that can provide really good reminder about the work to do this year.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Going through SOC 2 Type 2 sounded like the kind of thing that would eat up months and a lot of my sanity. What I found instead was a smooth experience from start to finish. Akitra has turned this dreaded process into something manageable. I'd recommend it to anyone staring down their first SOC 2 Type 2 and wondering how they're going to get through it.

They take on the heavy lifting of the SOC 2 Type 2 process for us. They helped us stay organized and focused. They presented us with our list of items to do and kept us focused on the end goal.

It is nice platform that is easy to navigate, haven't seen any bugs so far, very happy with the team. Team is very supportive and caring, moving forward in very effective manner, guys are very responsive and helpful with all my requests. Team even customized my Trust center page for me.

we are doing SOC2 type 2 compliance and it solves many problems in terms of managing policies and using automated monitoring to check compliance to those policies. SOC2 opens a lot of doors and shows that we are mature enterprise business
