  • January 06, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
IBM DB2 proves to be highly effective for high performance, reliability, and enterprise-level data management. It consistently delivers strong results in these areas. I am SAP BASIS Consultant using db2 database it is very fast as compared it other databased in case of restart or switch to other node in HA. Upsides are high performance scalable excellent stability and Very HIGH HADR and backup options.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside is that during restoration, if there is a technical glitch, the process enters a rollback phase, which takes a considerable amount of time to bring the database back up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it with my ERP SAP system to store data. It has proven beneficial to me in several ways, such as helping to address performance bottlenecks, reducing downtime risks, managing database growth challenges, and handling operational complexity.

Great Performance and easy to use

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have used IBM DB2 for around 5 years for one of my legacy projects I was working on. Even though we have millions of records terabytes of data. The database was performing well. There is provision of vacuum for faster query performance and reindexing of whole database would also increase performance. There were no chances of it went down due to technical error. It provides a Linux interface allow technical people like me to use it Easly. I would definitely recommend it to others.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't find any such things to dislike in it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It was a government project which required huge data storage and need database that can return complex query in lessor time and IBM DB2 was good in both.
