In 2016, KUWAITNET began collaborating closely with Redington Gulf to accelerate growth, and in 2018, it used Redington Gulf’s CloudQuarks solution to optimize its business by simplifying its billing process. It also collaborated with Redington Gulf to devise a go-to-market strategy. By working with Redington Gulf, KUWAITNET can focus on becoming an AWS MSP Partner, along with providing quality professional services to its customers.

Partner Success Story – KUWAITNET and Redington Gulf

International information technology (IT) services provider KUWAITNET operates as a business-to-business industry expert and has been an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Partner since 2014. To continue its growth and optimize its business, the company has worked alongside AWS Partner Redington Gulf, an AWS Distributor.

Since working with Redington Gulf, KUWAITNET has simplified its billing process and became an AWS Advanced Partner offering consulting services. With a clear plan to tap into the right targeted segment, KUWAITNET is working toward becoming a member of the AWS Managed Service Provider Program (AWS MSP Program), which is designed to validate and promote AWS Advanced and Premier Partners so that they can provide complete AWS solutions to customers. This advancement will enable KUWAITNET to expand its offerings, improving customer satisfaction.

Finding a Good Match with Redington Gulf

KUWAITNET helps the public sector, private organizations, and startups select, architect, and implement advanced IT solutions to grow their businesses. KUWAITNET provides digital transformation and domain name protection services. Other core solutions include managed IT infrastructure, malware removal, and enterprise operating systems, along with website and app development using open-source technologies. “What makes us different and trustworthy is the quality of the projects we deliver,” says Bashar Al-Abdulhadi, founder and Chief Technology Officer of KUWAITNET. “Our customers completely own the source code. We guide people with the technology and make sure it’s a win-win relationship.”

In 2014, KUWAITNET wanted to offer AWS solutions to its customers, particularly those undertaking digital transformations that would benefit from cloud services. However, AWS did not yet have a footprint in Kuwait at the time. That same year, KUWAITNET joined the AWS Partner Network and became an Authorized Commercial Reseller to offer AWS services in the region.

Redington Gulf optimizes IT infrastructure and provides consulting for rapid cloud adoption. Prior to their collaboration, KUWAITNET had worked with Redington Gulf to provide services from Red Hat, an open-source software solutions provider. “We had a long-standing relationship with Redington Gulf,” says Stevan Colaco, Manager of Cloud Solutions at KUWAITNET. “We know the team, the management, and how its cycle works. Redington Gulf is a good match for us.” In 2016, KUWAITNET moved toward working more closely with Redington Gulf to accelerate its growth. Redington Gulf is a member of the AWS Distribution Program, which enables AWS Partners to work alongside AWS Distributors to use their go-to-market support, offload billing and operations, receive funding benefits, and gain technical expertise.

“When you combine forces—AWS working alongside an AWS Distributor working with a reseller—that’s when innovation peaks and customers win big.”

- Anas Homaidani, Chief Commercial Officer, KUWAITNET

Providing Quality Services as an AWS Partner

KUWAITNET is currently exploring the possibility of using Redington Gulf’s Track My Cloud, which is an all-in-one software-as-a-service solution for managing the cloud. “Track My Cloud gives complete visibility to customers’ cloud consumption, cloud behavior, security, and operations,” says Dharshana Kosgalage, Senior Vice President of Redington Gulf. “It’s API driven and works on AWS. It’s a near-real-time monitoring system where the consumer can see their AWS solutions at work.” KUWAITNET is testing Track My Cloud as a solution for creating more customized offerings. “It will help us a lot,” says Homaidani. “AWS Partners can add more services to make a combined solution and resell it to customers as a managed service.”

KUWAITNET is also working toward becoming an AWS Managed Service Provider Partner (AWS MSP Partner). Through its collaboration with Redington Gulf, KUWAITNET has gained access to services and resources that enable it to establish itself as an IT services provider in Kuwait and move up the AWS Partner tiers. “AWS Distributor Redington Gulf makes things much simpler,” says Homaidani. “It focuses on the billing, credits, and training, so we can focus on our professional services. When you combine forces—AWS working alongside an AWS Distributor working with a reseller—that’s when innovation peaks and customers win big.”
