AWS Supports JPS on its Transformation Journey from Traditional to Digital

Jamaica Public Service (JPS) is the only distributor of electricity in Jamaica. About three years ago, the company was challenged to make a vast amount of information available to all of its customers.

Using Amazon Web Services (AWS) solutions, the company began its journey toward digital transformation, moving its customer service quickly and efficiently, as well as improving its profitability through the AWS Cloud. Garry Barrow, director of operations at JPS, and Phillip Hamilton, IT specialist for the company's infrastructure, explain how they managed to deliver solutions in minutes instead of weeks, saving at least 40 percent on storage.
