Amazon EventBridge Event Bus is a serverless event bus that makes it easier to build event-driven applications at scale using events generated from your applications, third-party software-as-as-service (SaaS) applications, and AWS services. EventBridge Event Bus acts as an event router to route your events - completely decoupling your event sources and targets. You can create rules on the event bus to allow each subscriber to choose which events they want to consume. Rules can also handle routing, retries, and error handling. Using EventBridge Event Bus, you can build loosely coupled applications to enable your development teams to act more independently, speed up development time, and simplify making changes to your applications.

Use cases

Application Integration

Send events from on-premises applications to the cloud and use them to start building new applications.

IT Automation

Use events to automate your infrastructure for validating confirmations, reading tags in a log, auditing user behavior, or remediating security incidents.

SaaS Integrations

Receive events from your SaaS applications, like Salesforce or Zendesk, enrich your data with EventBridge, and send the results back with API Destinations.

Data Streaming

Combine event streaming platforms with EventBridge to subscribe to important business events without having to write integration code.

Features

Event Filtering

Filter your events using rules. Rules allow different application components to only look and process events that are applicable to them.

Schema Registry

Search a collection of schemas that can be leveraged by developers in your organization. EventBridge allows you to add schemas manually or can automate the process by using schema discovery.

Archive and Replay Events

Debug applications and recover from errors by using Archive and Replay to reprocess past events back to an event bus or a specific EventBridge rule.

API Destinations

Send events to any on-premises or SaaS applications with the ability to control throughput and authentication.

Global Endpoints

Replicate events across primary and secondary Regions to implement failover with minimal data loss.

Built-in Sources and Targets

Select from an extensive range of event sources and targets available for EventBridge Event Bus including over 200 AWS services and over 45 SaaS partners.
