Health measures

The health and safety of our customers, partners and employees remains our top priority. All attendees are required to comply with the health measures. Signage and additional staffing will be in place to support health measures. Revisions will be made in accordance with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and federal, state, and local government requirements. At AWS Summit Anaheim 2022, the following health measures will be in place.

Vaccinations

All badge holders must be must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to checking in at the event or have a record of a negative test result, see Testing opt-out section. Fully vaccinated is defined by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) as 2 weeks after a second dose in a 2-dose series such as the Pfizer, Moderna, or AstraZeneca vaccines or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine. If you plan to check in on the first day of the Anaheim Summit with badge pickup on August 18, 2022, you need to receive your second dose in a 2-dose series or single-dose vaccine no later than August 3, 2022.
 
Record of COVID-19 vaccination must be provided at onsite check-in to receive your Summit badge. Acceptable records include your physical COVID-19 vaccination/immunization card, a photo of your vaccination/immunization card, or a digital verification from a smartphone application. The name on your vaccination record must match your government issued ID.

Masks

Masks will not be required at the AWS Summit Anaheim.

Masks and hand sanitizers

Amazon Web Services (AWS) will make masks available for attendees who need them. Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the event space.

Testing opt-out

Badge holders who are attending AWS Anaheim Summit, who choose not to show a record of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, are able to attend if the attendee provides a record of a negative COVID-19 test. The name on the attendee’s test record must match their government-issued ID. Acceptable negative test results are limited to polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and antigen test results provided by a third-party laboratory no more than 24 hours for an antigen test and 72 hours for a PCR test prior to the start of the event. Self-administered tests will not be accepted.

Do you require those attending the Summit to be vaccinated against COVID-19?

Will you accept record of a COVID-19 vaccine that is authorized or approved by the national health authority of the country where I got my vaccine, but is not U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) approved or emergency use authorized (EUA)?

Yes. We will accept record of COVID-19 vaccinations authorized or approved by the national health authority of the country where it was administered.

Acceptable record of your COVID-19 vaccine includes your physical COVID-19 vaccination/immunization card/record, a photo of your COVID-19 vaccination/immunization card/record, or a digital verification from a smartphone application. The name on your vaccination record must match your government issued ID.

Are masks required at Summit?

Masks will not be required at the AWS Summit Anaheim.

Will food and beverages still be offered?

Yes. Conference meals will be offered. We will follow all local and venue guidelines for service.

Will I be required to maintain 6-foot (2 meter) distancing from other attendees?

No. You will not be required to maintain 6-foot (2 meter) distancing during the event.

What happens if I (or someone else) tests positive for COVID-19 following the Summit?

If you test positive for COVID-19, please follow guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) for testing, isolation, masking, distancing, and seeking medical guidance. Please also report your diagnosis to the relevant public health department, more information can be found on Georgia Department of Public Health. If a positive COVID-19 diagnosis is disclosed to AWS during AWS Summit Anaheim, we will suspend your in-person participation in the event.
