Its agentic structure can intelligently adjust to minor variations in lab data formats or workflow changes without requiring constant reconfiguration from the IT team. It integrates smoothly with our existing LIMS and internal systems, minimizing disruption to daily operations. The platform offers reliable stability and consistent performance, which is critical for maintaining data accuracy and compliance in pharmaceutical research. It empowers our small to mid-sized team to achieve enterprise-level efficiency without heavy IT overhead. The time saved on repetitive tasks directly translates to more focus on innovative R&D, making it a highly valuable solution for our biotech workflows. I like its intelligent adaptability in our regulated biotech workflow, as it can independently handle minor inconsistencies in lab data, document formats, and process variations without constant manual tweaks or full script rewrites. This makes it incredibly reliable for compliance-focused tasks such as LIMS data entry and quality report validation, and it integrates seamlessly with our existing systems, requiring minimal IT intervention while maintaining consistent performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial setup and rule configuration can be overly complex, especially for team members without deep technical or coding backgrounds. Even basic workflows often require significant IT support, leading to bottlenecks in our smaller team that lacks dedicated automation specialists. Building workflows involves navigating a dense, technical interface with many conditional logic layers, which is not intuitive for staff. Our lab and quality teams can't adjust rules independently, so our small IT team has to handle every change. Validating workflows for regulated biotech environments adds extra friction, and the lack of pre-built templates for life sciences processes made the deployment time-consuming. Debugging agentic decision paths is challenging as it requires deep system access and log analysis.

One thing that stands out is how well the AI-driven decision making handles exceptions and non-linear workflows. What do you like best about the product?
Automation is its ability to automate repetitive and rule-based tasks with minimal manual intervention. The platform is very user-friendly and allows both developers and business users to design bots using a visual interface. Features like the Control Room, reusable components, and easy integration with web applications make development and deployment efficient. It has helped our team automate processes such as data extraction, file handling, and system updates, which significantly reduced manual effort and improved accuracy.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing that could be improved in Automation Anywhere Agentic Process Automation is the learning curve for beginners when working with advanced automation features. Some components and error-handling configurations require experience to implement effectively. In addition, debugging complex bots can sometimes take time, especially when multiple applications are involved. However, with proper documentation and practice, these challenges become easier to manage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automation helps us automate multiple business processes across departments such as supply chain, invoice posting, purchase order (PO) creation, HR operations, and finance-related activities. Currently, we have automated more than 60 business processes using around 140 bots, which has significantly reduced manual effort and improved operational efficiency. Tasks that previously required significant human intervention are now handled automatically with better accuracy and faster turnaround time. This has allowed our teams to focus more on strategic and value-added work rather than repetitive operational tasks.
