AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
OwlDB uses a single usage-based pricing dimension. You pay by the hour based on the number of administrators using the service, measured in host hours. There are no tiers or instance sizes to choose from. Your cost scales directly with how many administrators you provision and how long they run. Billing stops when usage stops, so you only pay for active hours. This gives you a straightforward, pay-as-you-go structure tied to administrator usage rather than fixed commitments.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one administrator for billing in the Administrators per hour dimension?
An administrator is a user account provisioned to operate and manage databases through OwlDB. Billing counts each active administrator per hour of use, measured in host hours. The service tracks how many administrators you provision and how long each runs.
Am I charged when an administrator is not actively using the service?
Charges apply per administrator per active hour. When usage stops, billing stops, so you only pay for hours an administrator is provisioned and running. Idle time outside provisioning does not accrue software charges under this hourly model.
How does my cost change as I add more administrators?
Cost scales directly with the number of administrators and the hours each runs. Adding an administrator increases your hourly charge for the time that account is active. There are no tiers or instance sizes, so each administrator-hour bills at the same rate.

OwlDB for Tibero 7 an integrated DB Managment service provisioning Tibero 7 Single, TAC (High Availability) and a Disaster Reovery solution.
The deployment architecture is optimized based on the selected DB configuration and infrastructure specifications.
Disaster Recovery (DR) Support : Real-time synchronization based on transaction logs ensures data consistency and supports complete standby environment setup for continuity.
Leveraging Multi-AZ configurations, it secures geographical redundancy for stable DR environment deployment.
OwlDB is provisioned in the new VPC's public subnet, and the Tibero DB is securely installed in a private subnet within the same VPC.
CloudFormation Template (CFT)
AWS CloudFormation templates are JSON or YAML-formatted text files that simplify provisioning and management on AWS. The templates describe the service or application architecture you want to deploy, and AWS CloudFormation uses those templates to provision and configure the required services (such as Amazon EC2 instances or Amazon RDS DB instances). The deployed application and associated resources are called a "stack."
Version release notes
[Important] Security update - upgrade recommended for all v1.2.0-v1.2.7 deployments
WHAT CHANGED
OwlDB v1.2.8 fixes a security vulnerability that could allow an authenticated
OwlDB user to run unintended commands on the database hosts managed by OwlDB.
To reduce the attack surface, an unnecessary API related to this issue has been
removed.
All other functionality (provisioning, monitoring, backup, recovery) is
unaffected.
WHY THIS AFFECTS YOU
The standard AWS notice below states that your subscription, running instances,
and access to previous versions are unaffected. That statement describes your
AWS Marketplace subscription only. It does not mean no action is needed.
Every deployment running v1.2.0 through v1.2.7 is affected and remains exposed
until it is updated. The issue requires a valid OwlDB sign-in, so the risk is
highest where accounts are shared, passwords are weak, or the OwlDB console is
reachable from the internet.
WHAT YOU NEED TO DO - REBUILD IS NOT REQUIRED
You do NOT need to redeploy the stack or migrate data.
STEP 1 - Update OwlDB to v1.2.8
Use the in-app version update in the OwlDB console. This replaces the backend
container only. Your data, configuration, and infrastructure are untouched.
Upgrading from v1.2.6 or earlier? Complete Step 1 of the v1.2.7 release notes
(mail relay permission) first. Otherwise Find ID, password reset, and the
monthly usage report email remain unavailable after the update.
STEP 2 - Review account security
Change the passwords of all OwlDB accounts, including administrators.
Remove any accounts you do not recognize or no longer use.
STEP 3 (recommended) - Restrict network access
Limit inbound access to the OwlDB console to trusted IP ranges in the security
group of your OwlDB stack.
VERIFY
Confirm that the OwlDB console reports version v1.2.8.
IF YOU PREFER TO REDEPLOY
Deploying a new stack from v1.2.8 includes this fix. This requires migrating
your existing data and is not recommended unless you are redeploying for other
reasons.
TIMING
Please apply this update as soon as possible.
When the OwlDB installation is complete, the access address and temporary password are sent to the email specified in the UserEmail parameter of the installation configuration
You can also access the application via a browser at https://[Unique Identifier (UUID)].owl-db.com/owldb/#/.
This UUID is automatically generated for each deployment and provides a unique, customer-specific access domain.
Connect to the OS
To connect to the operating system, use SSH and the username rocky.
Port 22 is not open by default, so you must add an inbound rule for it in the OwlDB security groups before connecting.
Internet connection
This product requires an internet connection to deploy properly.
The following packages are downloaded on deployment: unzip, awscli, docker, java.
Roles
The roles created in this product are as follows:
OwlDBIAMRole: This IAM Role is assigned to the Owl instance.
