Pricing
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor, and additional usage. You pay upfront or in installments according to your contract terms with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. Usage-based pricing is in effect for overages or additional usage not covered in the contract. These charges are applied on top of the contract price. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before the contract end date, access to your entitlements will expire.

Dimensions summary
Pricing splits into two service levels: Standard and Enterprise. Each level charges for two activities, transcoding and Qualify quality-control checks, priced per billable unit. Within each level, you pick from three billing options. The PayGo option carries no upfront cost and bills only for what you use. The 1.2 million and 2.4 million billable unit options prepay a set volume, and the higher volume lowers the per-unit rate for both transcoding and Qualify. Enterprise transcoding rates differ from Standard. Qualify rates match across both levels at each volume option.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Transcoding and Qualify are metered separately, each consuming billable units at its own per-unit rate. Qualify runs quality-control tests against your media, and more tests per template raise the processing needed. Some tests also apply an added multiplier, which increases the units a single check consumes.
PayGo charges only for units you actually process, with no upfront cost, suiting variable or occasional workloads. The 1.2 million and 2.4 million options prepay a set volume of billable units and lower the per-unit rate. Prepaid options favor steady, higher-volume processing.
Transcoding and Qualify bill independently and both appear on the same invoice. Qualify carries a higher per-unit rate than transcoding at each option. Cost depends on how many quality-control tests you run and how many files you transcode. Heavy Qualify testing raises the Qualify share of your bill.
