    Amazon Machine Image (AMI)

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

    Additional details

    Usage instructions

Visit our comprehensive documentation at 'https://www.silverlining.cloud/docs/aws/selenium-amazonlinux '.

Start by connecting to the terminal using SSH on port 22 and log in as 'ec2-user'. If you prefer to run commands in the background, you can start a tmux session by entering 'tmux'.

We have equipped the system with Python 3, Java, and NodeJS bindings, all preconfigured for Selenium. Our sample code files cover various browser operations. For Python 3, navigate to the directory with 'cd /etc/selenium/python3' and run the Chrome script with 'python3 sample-chrome.py' or the Firefox script with 'python3 sample-firefox.py'. For Java, access the directory with 'cd /etc/selenium/java' and execute the Chrome or Firefox script using 'java samplechrome' or 'java samplefirefox'. For NodeJS, go to the directory using 'cd /etc/selenium/nodejs' and run the Chrome script with 'nodejs chrome-sample.js' or the Firefox script with 'nodejs firefox-sample.js'.

To view screenshots, use the command 'ls'.

For developing your own scripts, in Python and NodeJS, you can edit and immediately re-run scripts. For Java, it's necessary to compile your edits before running them. Compile your Java file using 'javac samplechrome.java' or the respective filename for your script.
