This is a repackaged open source software product wherein additional charges apply for a secure, ready-to-use SuiteCRM 8.10 CRM server. Manage leads, contacts, deals and support cases without per-user fees, with unique passwords for every instance.
SuiteCRM is an open source customer relationship management (CRM) application. Sales, marketing and support teams use it to track leads and customers, manage deals and quotes, run email campaigns and handle support cases, all from one place. This image gives small and growing businesses a working SuiteCRM server in minutes, with no installer to run and no database to create, and no per-user licence fees.
What is included: SuiteCRM 8.10.2 on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, Apache with PHP 8.3, MySQL 8.0, phpMyAdmin 5.2 for database administration and Webmin 2.660 for server administration. The site address is kept in step with the instance's public IP at every boot. Security is on by default: no password ships in the image. On first boot every instance sets its own SuiteCRM administrator, MySQL root and Webmin passwords and new application and database secrets, MySQL listens only on the server itself, and SSH accepts key-based login only.
What you get on top of the free software: a pre-built and tested image that is ready in minutes, a unique security setup for every server, simple scripts for changing passwords, regular image updates, and help by email whenever you need it. SuiteCRM is open source software licensed under AGPL-3.0. SuiteCRM is a trademark of its respective owner. This image is an independent build by ProvenCloud.

Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
You pay by the hour for the EC2 instance type you run. The software itself carries no license fee because it is open source, so your charge reflects the compute size you pick. Each dimension maps to a specific EC2 instance type, grouped into families: general purpose (m, t), compute-optimized (c), memory-optimized (r, x, z), storage-optimized (d, i, h), and accelerated computing (g, p, f, inf, trn, vt). Within each family, hourly cost scales with the instance size, from large up through metal and multi-xlarge. You add standard AWS compute and storage costs separately.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Am I charged for the software when my EC2 instance is stopped?
The software itself is open source and carries no license fee, so you owe no software charge at any time. Your cost comes only from AWS compute, which accrues while the instance runs. A stopped instance stops compute charges, though attached storage may still bill through AWS.
What does one hourly unit actually cover for a given instance type?
Each unit is one hour of one running EC2 instance of the type you pick. The listing ships as a prebuilt machine image you launch. You pay AWS for the compute and the 16 GiB gp3 root volume separately. The vendor charges no license fee on top.
Does running a bigger instance type add any software cost, or only compute cost?
Only compute cost. The software is open source under AGPL-3.0 with no license key, so moving to a bigger instance raises only the underlying AWS compute and storage charges. The same image runs identically on every instance type you select from the list.

Vendor refund policy
Software charges are billed hourly, only while your instance runs. You can stop charges at any time by terminating the instance or cancelling your subscription. Charges already incurred are not refundable.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Additional details
Usage instructions
Once the instance is running, enter http://<instance-public-ip> into your browser. You will see the SuiteCRM sign-in page; enter admin as the username and your instance ID as the password. phpMyAdmin is at http://<instance-public-ip>/phpmyadmin; sign in with root as the username and your instance ID as the password. Webmin is on port 8000, so open http://<instance-public-ip>:8000 and sign in with admin as the username and your instance ID as the password. You can also connect over SSH with the username ubuntu and your Amazon key pair.
Required inbound ports: 22 (SSH), 80 (SuiteCRM and phpMyAdmin) and 8000 (Webmin). For security, allow ports 22 and 8000 only from your own IP address.
Your instance ID is shown in the EC2 console, for example i-0123456789abcdef0. Every instance sets its own passwords on first boot, so no two instances share a password. Allow two to three minutes after launch for the first-boot setup to finish before you sign in.
Change your passwords after the first sign-in: connect over SSH and run sudo bash /home/ubuntu/iscripts/pass_suitecrm.sh for SuiteCRM, pass_mysql.sh for MySQL root or pass_webmin.sh for Webmin, from the same folder.
The image serves plain HTTP so it works on a bare IP address. Before using it in production, add your own domain and an SSL certificate, or place it behind a load balancer with HTTPS.
