Node.js 24 on Amazon Linux 2023 provides a fully configured, production-ready environment for building and running Node.js applications on AWS.
This AMI is built on a minimal installation of Amazon Linux 2023, updated to the latest security patches, and includes Node.js 24 (Current release) runtime pre-installed and configured. Node.js 24 features the latest V8 engine with cutting-edge JavaScript features, improved performance, and the newest Node.js capabilities. It is designed for developers who want to leverage the latest language features and runtime improvements.
Note: Node.js 24 is a Current release (not LTS). For production workloads requiring long-term stability, consider Node.js 20 LTS.

The system is security hardened following best practices. SSH access uses key pair authentication only. Unnecessary services and packages have been removed to reduce the attack surface. Automatic security updates are enabled by default.
